This product is light weight and weighs only 4 1/2 pounds it has a safety guard that protects fingers from coming in contact with the cutting blade.  The cutting blade is a 6" stainless steel blade that has an adjustment that can determine the thickness or thinness of your slices.  It is compact and folds up for easy storage, some of the parts are dishwasher safe and it come in white to go with all kitchen color schemes.  I advocate the use of this deli slicer to save money and time while allowing precious foods to not be destroyed by butchers.
