Easy to use and clean. Love fresh bread.

A few years ago, there was a flood of infomercial on TV on making bread at home with all different kind of bread making machine. It makes a lot of sense to bake fresh and no preservative bread at home. Plus, we always love the smell of a refresh and warm loaf of bread. We got this Toastmaster bread machine as a Christmas gift. We made our first loaf within that week. The package came with a booklet with all different kind of bread recipes and baking instructions. It also came with enough ingredients to make your first loaf of bread. This bread machine is so easy to use. You basically throw everything, including the yeast, to the machine. Next, you select the baking setting and preference from touch keypad on top. It will then mix and bake. The bread comes out very good although the crust may be a little bit harder and darker than my liking. That could be just my own personal preference as well as the setting. It is easy to clean. Because of the shape of the machine, the loaf is vertical. It makes around 1.5 pound loaf. It is good for a small family dinner. We have since tried a few recipes. If you want to know what you are eating or are worrying about any allergic ingredient in the bread, this is a way to go and this Toastmaster one is inexpensive enough to start.

I honestly can say I love my Bread Machine,  It was given to me as a  x-mas gift  a couple of years ago and it is still going strong.  I use it several times  a  month to make home made bread or rolls.  Everytime I do the smell of fresh baking bread takes me back to my childhood times at my grandmothers. She was always in the kitchen baking.  Thank you for a wonderful product.

I can't imagine living without my breadmaker and don't know how I made it without it. I make bread of some kind almost daily. I either make breads to go with the meals or bread for dessert. Sometimes we have fresh hot bread as a bedtime snack. I We LOVE this bread machine!

I was never a cooking type of person. Thanks to my mom, I survived mainly on Hamburger Helper and the frozen food section. That all changed when someone in our family learned that they had a soy allergy. If you aren't familiair with soy, it is in almost any food that you can think of. Almost everything we eat now has to be homemade or organic. It's turned out to be a sort of blessing for the family. Most breads contain soy flour, so one of the first things we bought after learning about the allergy was our Toastmaster bread machine. I have fallen in love with it. Thanks to this machine, I actually enjoy mixing the dough and being able to watch as it turns into a loaf. This machine has turned out to be a great asset for us. It is used at least once a week. I haven't had to buy store bought bread for months. In fact, we had family over at our house for Thanksgiving, and since we couldn't use store bought stuffing, I had to make the stuffing myself. Thanks to a really great rosemary bread recipe and this bread machine, it turned out to be the best stuffing ever. My soon to be mother in law even asked for the recipe!

I'm not a bread maker machine expert or an expert baker for that matter.  We have owned this little Toastmaster bread maker machine for awhile now and have only used it once or twice.  The bread did turn out wonderful though.  I have really no complaints about the way this machine works, the product it turns out or the way it functions.  My only real complaint is that it just doesn't seem like a necessary appliance for my kitchen.  I thought it would be a good idea, but as it turns out it is not something that I really need in my kitchen (taking up space). I have found that buying the ingredients is more expensive, set-up and clean-up is more of a hassle than what I am really willing to do.  If you are an avid baker and do appreciate having freshly baked bread, than I can see this being a worthwhile investment, but for me, I find it bulky and time consuming for the small loaf of bread that it yeilds.  If you are a single person or a couple, this might work for you, but we are a family of four and we do need to make several loaves to satisfy their needs.
