Not worth the money

I have become dependent on my toaster oven. I use it every morning and all the time in the summer when I do not want to heat up the house with the big oven. Unfortunately, this one was defective. The bottom knob broke off within a few weeks of purchasing it and the racks would come completely out everytime I would take something out of the oven. Even Heating You certainly have to really watch for hot spots in the toaster oven. I wrap up the majority of my food in tin foil to try to trap the heat in better, but I usually have to take the food out, stir it up, and put it back in. A small inconvenience, but a problem nonetheless. Safety I had an issue with the racks falling out when I was removing the trays. I did get a slight burn when the rack came out with the tray. The top of the toaster oven does become extremely hot although there is a warning label addressing theat. Ease of Cleaning This was next to impossible to clean. The racks refused to come clean even though I used every cleaner in the world on them. Plus the crumbs and dropped food had to be removed from the bottom. I had an awkward time holding the oven while trying to shake out the crumbs. Durability The inside of the toaster became greasy and splattered. Its as if the Teflon coating was not applied well enough. However my biggest issue was worth the knobs. Within two weeks of owning the oven, The bottom knob literally came off in my hand. After that we literally had to screw it back on each and every time we used the oven. I tried to superglue it back on but it broke off on an awkward angle. I did reach out to the company to buy replacement knobs, but they were too expensive. I ended up getting rid of this oven so it was a moot point. Design I liked the smaller size because I am so pressed for space on my countertops. However, the issues with cleaning and the racks constantly coming out were quite annoying.

Budget toaster oven, doesn't last long

Bought this for my first apartment and it worked great for a little over a year and then burnt out. The warranty it comes with from the manufacturer is exactly one year and requires the original receipt. It started smelling like burnt plastic and the timer wouldn't stop ticking far past the normal stopping point. I was really disappointed because having a toaster oven was a great convenience! Safety It felt safe until the end when I was so worried about the smell and the fact that the ticking wouldn't stop. I tried to get answers online and found that many people had similar issues without receiving any assistance.

Little price, little toaster.

I was looking for a new toaster oven when my old one died, and I got a great price on this one. However, I quickly learned it wasn't worth the price. I use my toaster oven to cook small meals, bake brownies, etc., but this toaster can't hold more than about 2 slices of toast. It also doesn't heat evenly - things on the left of the oven tend to burn. I'll be replacing this as soon as I can.

Good basic toaster oven

I've always had a toaster oven in my home. I prefer a "regular" toaster for actual toast, but for everything else this is just perfect. While it's sometimes easier, and definitely faster, to toss things into a microwave to heat them up, a lot of times a microwave makes things chewy and tough. Especially bread products. For that reason I love having a toaster oven. Wrap day old biscuits in foil and heat them up for about 5 minutes in the toaster oven and they are almost as good as when they were first baked. Leftover pizza, cheese on toast (my favorite), just about anything you need to heat up will warm up great in this toaster oven. I've even baked small cakes and muffins in there with great results, and I didn't need to heat up the whole house with my regular oven. The only thing is, I've never had a toaster oven that actually makes toast evenly. The toast never is as tender as I like it, it's always a bit too crunchy. I really think they should just take off the "toaster" part in the names of these appliances and just call them table top ovens or something. So for toast, I don't recommend it, but for anything else your regular oven does -- on a much smaller scale of course -- then I definitely recommend this great, inexpensive toaster oven. Even Heating Good on baking, not so even for toast.

A budget model, only buy if that is all you can afford.

This is a budget toaster oven, and you get what you pay for. It fits 4 slices of bread, barely, and often the inside slices will slide off the rack if you push the last 2 in too far. I toasts evenly in general. We get daily use from it, and we have had it over a year. Unfortunately, with normal toasting, the heat has yellowed/browned the white outside finish. It looks like it has been on fire or something. The tray/door cleans up well, but the burnt outside is not cleanable. I will be looking to replace this soon, just for its appearance, and I usually am not that picky. Even Heating It does the job in one or two cycles. Safety I have not had any problems with electrical shock or anything. Ease of Cleaning Inside cleans up nicely, as it is aluminum, but the outside is burnt looking and uncleanable. Durability It has taken a year of continuous use. Design OK unless you are not careful loading toast and the toast will slip in the back.

No way no how.

Its a nice fit for small counters. Im not liking that the door has no safety latch. The tray that comes with it is small like something from an EZ Bake oven or something. The timer ticking the whole time is annoying too. Not expensive but it could at least come with safety latch in case the little ones get inquisitive. Even Heating I put the oven on 375° for a half of a baked potato. For 15 minutes. Well after the second go round and still not even hot I decided that this is gonna be a fixture on the counter. A non-working fixture Safety No safety latch. If you lean it to retrieve the cord, the whole door opwns and the tray falls out Ease of Cleaning The tray is the size of a dish cloth so no hard cleaning needed Durability It didnt make it past the first warming

The Toastmaster Toaster Oven is Good for the Money.

There is quite a range of money one can spend on a toaster oven and this model is on the low end. It is very light weight and has toaster controls and oven controls. It toasts bread fine but it isn't very big and you can't toast more than two pieces at a time. I like using it for open-faced tuna fish sandwiches with cheese on them. It toasts things quite quickly. I use the oven part on a regular basis to cook fish sticks and tator-tots for my two daughters or other things like french fries, garlic toast, chicken nuggets...anthing that I normally would bake in my regular oven. Using the toaster oven for a couple of servings rather than the big oven really saves on energy and money! Things bake in around the same time as in the large oven. It has either a rack or it has a small pan that I use for baking things. It doesn't have the smoothest action for pulling the tray in and out and you have to watch that you don't burn yourself. Again, it's good for the price. There are a lot better ovens out there.

Just a normal toaster oven

I bought this toaster oven for a month ago. It's small size and very light weight. It does feel filmsy or fragile. There is a major problem with this toaster, once you pulled the tray out, it is not easy to push the tray back into the toaster. I tried pushing the window and it doesn't help. However, I do find a way that can go around this problem. You have to push the tray ( not the the actual rack) all the way inside this toaster, then you can close the door very easily. It only have one hook instead of two ( both sides of the door ).It suits my needs fine but it is a very basic toaster. It can get very hot and you need a pair of gloves. I use it for reheating pizza slices, pasteries and it does a good job.I haven't experienced  trouble with the bottom door ( kept falling open ). I know some people complain about this. Overall, if you don't need a big oven, I think it is a good buy if it is 20 bucks or less. I am not complaining as I got a really really good deal during thanksgiving sales for 10 bucks.
