    Decrease the show running time, Watch a show when you want to, Finds all your favorites, total viewing flexibility, makes recommendations, never miss another show, No commercials!!

Cons
    makes you intolerant of regular tv

I can't say enough good things about my Tivo. I honestly don;t know what I did before I got it! I am so addicted that I actually skip watching live shows on purpose so that I can watch the recording later and skip through all the commercials. Tivo is the greatest thing that's happened to TV since....well, EVER. I'm not a sports fan at all, I just love other TV. If you do dig sports then Tivo is even more ideal. I think that setup is somewhat intense, but I have a super techie husband who handled that for me. Now I have a Tivo in every room!!
