    Watch a show when you want to, Decrease the show running time, 30-second jump feature, Finds all your favorites, makes recommendations, Record to your VCR, never miss another show, Records up to 80 hours, No commercials!!, Tivo remote controls TV, Much better than a DVR

TiVo - Digital Video Recorder — 

I love Tivo!  I prefer it to the free dvr that came with my cable package.  It is a bit of a trade off though cuz on my Tivo I can only record 1 show at a time.  But the other dvr lacks some of the features I love and use.  I thought it was such an extravagance when my hubby first bought it, but I can't afford to go back.  No more wasted time on commercials!
