I purchased this toy for my son.At 2 months he loved staring at the colorful animals and was already kicking the windchimes with his feet. By 3 months he was grabbing the toys with his hands and batting them to make them swing. Around 4 months he started noticing his reflection in the mirror. The mirror is also slightly movable and he would push and pull the mirror while looking in it so he could see different things around the room. I could literally have left him on this mat for hours and he would have been completely content. The animals unhook and we clipped them to our stroller for shopping...

The little gym, overall, is a great item.  Baby loves to swipe at his toys hanging above him while listening to the music.  The little Gym is quite creative and can hold babies attention for a decent amount of time.  The toys snap onto the top and hang above baby.  There is also a little mirror and music plays either on its own, or when baby kicks or hits in an area. 

I will say that since baby has begun rolling he can find his way out of this Gym.  I do not know if that is something that can be controlled, but i guess it is advised to be careful where you actually place this and do not...

We just got this for our 2 month old girl and she loves it already.  The first time we put her on it, she wasn't in a good mood...but she stayed lying there perfectly content for over a half hour!  She even did some tummy time, which she normally hates....since she was right in front of the mirror she started making happy noises and did a few happy minutes on her belly.  Then we turned her back over and she stayed there for a while longer.  The lights and music kept her happy and she kept turning her head from side to side looking at everything that was hanging from the toy bars.  It was...

This is a very nice gym, I'm glad I bought it for my son. He loves it very much, my little boy started to play on it around 5 weeks old,  at that time he just lay on it and looked around. weeks later, he began to do his tummy time on it. Later on he loves to catch the hanging toys and enjoy the music...

This is a great playmat.  There are no downsides to this playmat at all.  I have been using it for 2 children now, one of which is 3 yrs old and it is still holding up just fine.

I just wish that I was able to wash it in the washer, otherwise I love this mat.
