I just finished watching all 6 hours of the Tin Man mini-series on the SciFi channel.  I DVRed it as soon as I heard about it because I love the Wizard of Oz and figured I would like this too.  — Tin Man is a crazy remake of the Wizard of Oz.  We have similar characters and storylines, but the over all story is way different.  First there is DG, a waitress who is having crazy dreams about a beautiful woman with lavender eyes who warned  her a storm was coming.  DG is played by Zooey Deschanel who I recognized from Failure to Launch and The New Guy. … read full review »

like movies that do not fit the title, character-lover, comedy fan, a fan of clever plots, watching with kids, into action flicks, still a fan of VHS, a movie buff

The Tin Man is a clever version.  The characters' special abilities came together to where you will not get lost in the whole plot.  The idea of a sister, Azkadellia and a mother being involved was totally different and made me think the other way around.  "What if Dorothy had a sister and a mom, and if she did where were they"?  Anyway, this is what Tin Man did for me:  It kept my mind open to wonder, surprise, relief, joy, and inspite of the evil doings. faith and family love had prevailed.  DG, Row, Tin Man, and Glitch so dynamically different only… read full review »
