I wasn't impressed

By

from USA

Comments about Time Warner:

Honestly I want very impressed with Time Warner. First of all I was moving to a new state so it was already a lot of stress and pressure. I had called a month in advance and I had scheduled a time for the company to come to my home and install the equipment so I could watch television. They were supposed to call fifteen minutes prior to arriving. They never called or showed up. I tried contacting this company several times and no one was being very helpful at all. Once they finally came they "forgot" to bring some of the equipment they needed and could not finish the job. I was for four weeks with no television. When they did finally install the equipment it was a mess. They are also a very expensive. I received several charges on my account and no one could explain where they came from. After four months with this company, enough was enough. I am so glad I changed services. I would not recommend this company at all.

Time Warner Cable

By

from Lexington, KY

Comments about Time Warner:

The service is quite good and they have a good customer service. I like the bundling capability, which is cable, telephone, and internet which means you have only one bill each month. We have very few interruptions of service unless there is severe stormes.

Customer Service
Customer Service is very helpful and will walk you through any problems you may be having with their services.

Reliability
We have very few interruptions to the service unless there are severe storms in the area or a transformer has been knocked out.

Content Variety/Availability
The content variety is quite good and I like the fact that you can block certain channels if you have young children in the home.

TERRIBLE COMPANY, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

By

from USA

Comments about Time Warner:

Time Warner is nothing but a money hungry company that rips you off everywhere they see fit. I had them for a year and there wasn't a month that went by that they service didn't suck. I would randomly get the code saying my box wasn't authorized for use, I would have random charges on my bill I didn't make and when a tech came out to fix my service, he "ordered a movie to make sure my box was working" which I was told I wouldn't be charged for but I was anyways. Towards the end of my contract my service was off for 3 days before I finally called to complain, they then said they would send someone out within 2 days and no one showed. I proceeded to call again and they said they would put down that I ordered a fight feature for that night so the techs would have to come and fix it, not only did they not show up but they also charged me 60$ for that fight. When I called again 2 days later the customer service argued with me and cussed me out when I told her I wanted to speak to a supervisor because she obviously didn't know what she was talking about. I finally had my service cut off and returned the box only to find out they issued a collection on my credit report for over 600$. I would not recommend this company to ANYONE.

Customer Service
Terrible, disrespectful, can't get anything done.

Reliability
HAH! They don't even know what that word means.

Content Variety/Availability
Does it matter? They will rip you off no matter what "deal" you think you are getting.

Too expensive for the service

By

from USA

Comments about Time Warner:

This rating only gets a 6 because they charge too much for the service they give. The cable channels are mostly channels you don't watch and they have a nasty habit of adding services to your account without your knowledge. I do not like the fact that I am pigeon-holed into using the services of this company. In the particular area I am in TWC is the only provider I can use. What I would love to see happen is that the cable company would actually provide you with a package of channels that appeal to you as a customer. An individualized cable package giving the customer the ability to choose their top channels to watch.

Customer Service
The customers service people are very friendly and try their best to help you out when you call. I don't like that I have to wait so long for customer service. I also don't like the fact that I cannot understand the accents of some of the technicians. I understand that places of business cannot discriminate, but as a customer I feel I should understand the person I am speaking with. After I finally get them on the phone they are quick to get you to the right department to help fix your problem.

Reliability
For the most part, TWC is a reliable service. I have not had many problems with my cable going out, however I have issues with the speed of my internet. I am paying premium prices for faster internet and I still go through hours when I am streaming a video that it is buffering. This is very discouraging to me because I am paying a higher cost for what I though was better service.

Content Variety/Availability
Too many channels that don't have anything to do with my preferences.

Go to someone else and save money

By

from USA

Comments about Time Warner:

I was a time Warner customer for yrs. their service just seemed to get worse each year. I have the bundle phone, cable and internet. They charge me $170 a month for this service and it was bad. Cable would go out every month and stay out for hours. The internet was slow and I mean slow I was surpose to been paying for roadrunner the fastest that they had but it would take forever to hook up. There was time when I would try to log on and 5 minutes later it would still be trying to hook up. If you call can complaint about service you would get the run around. I call and complain about the service and tell them I was going to cancel and they acted like it was no big deal to them. So I finally closed my account and I got net flex and hulu plus I could not be any happier. Plenty of programs to watch for $20.

Customer Service
they don't give a damn about you

Reliability
always going off line and you are with out TV or the internet service,

Worst Cable Service Ever.

By

from USA

Comments about Time Warner:

Twc. has a offer that sounds great on tv. switch cable or internet providers and get up tp a $ 300.00 visa rewards card. what TWC fails to tell you is you MUST have there service for at least 6 months before you can even apply for this. then once you do... it is yet another 5-8 weeks befor you even get your card. and in the mean time while you wait. and wait. they keep calling you. or spamming you with yet more offers. i signed up for the 3 free months of HBO/Showtime/Cinamax with the triple pack. WARNING NOT FREE. after 90 days this was to cost a extra $24.99 a month. however from the very start i was billed for this service. they claimes i would get a $75.00 credit on my bill. i never did. and was still being billed. plus the so called phone with free nationwide long distance. it also IS NOT FREE. they charge you for ALL long distance calls. $1.99 for 411. per call. TWC is NOT worth the hassle or money. AVOID THEM UNLESS YOU JUST HAVE MONEY TO BURN.

Customer Service
NO LIVE OPP. ALL AUTOMATED. UNLESS YOU CONTACT ONLINE.

Reliability
tv/phone/internet. good reception/service.

Content Variety/Availability
was ok. but NOT worth what they charge.

Equipment given already used & abused before you get it.

By

from USA

Comments about Time Warner:

We get a good variety of channels for the basic pkg that we have; however, the shows repeat themselves on the various channels, (i.e. 2-3 Disney channels which are exactly the same as well as for the 2 TNT channels/2 FX channels/2 USA-LIFETIME-HALLMARK- SYFY channels) - makes u feel like you have lots of channels when you really don't.

Customer Service
I am not prejudice - but I"m also NOT bilingual; the customer service reps not only DON'T speak English, they also DON"T understand me any more than I can understand them - I often find myself saying "what?" to them.

Reliability
The reliability is good except on the On Demand channel when they are adding or subtracting a show - they will will knock you out off of what you are watching without any notice - this usually happens around 1:00 am or 2:00 am. Plus the equipment I had gotten from them already came used & abused - the box which I NEVER requested WHEN i ordered the service due 2 having my own DVR and what was told that was fine - the SERVICE guy told me I needed it - the box has 2 re-booted often, the controllers up/down/side 2 side button STOPPED WORKING a couple months after having them. Plus, I'm not able 2 record/fastforward or rewind on it.

Content Variety/Availability
We have a large selection of channels 4 the basic service we get; however, the shows just repeat themselves - we have 2-3 channels 4 each basic cable channel, (TNT, SYFY, USA, DISNEY, FX. LIFETIME, etc.); the On Demand channel gives you a large variety of shows on EACH channel (local / prime time & cable / entertainment), however, you can't fast forward thru these show, (some you can / most you cant); and the ONLY CBS show that ISN'T On Demand is "Person of Interest" and WHY isn't CW On Demand? Plus, WHY does it take FX an entire week 2 place their shows On Demand? One more thing, as good as our cable reception is our WVTV,(CW18) acts like an antenna tv the way it cuts in cuts out and scrambles!!!
