Time Warner Cable - Digital Phone Service  — 

I don't know what I was thinking adding Time Warner Cable's digital phone service.  I was already unhappy with the quality of my cable, but the Telemarketer that called convinced me that I'd save a lot of money by switching.  So I gave up Embarq phone service, which I was very happy with, to save a few dollars and have digital phone installed. 

What the telemarketer didn't inform me was that I would be paying out a $ 70.00 install fee!!  No one told me about that, so imagine my surprise when I opened up my first bill.  Ouch.  Secondly, MY TELEPHONE HAS HORRIBLE CONNECTION NOW!  Before installing the digital phone I had crystal clear connection, no it sounds like I'm talking in a wind storm.  The connection is fuzzy, and every so often the phone just disconnects in the middle of my phone call.  Other times, I'm unable to pick up the phone and dial a number.  I have to hang up, dial, hang up, dial.....until I get a connection that actually works.

I called Time Warner to let them know about my problem.  After holding for twenty minutes, they said they would send out a tech.  The tech showed up a week later, with no work order, and informed me that my phone was perfectly fine.  (Side note:  He never even picked up my phone to listen to it)

So, sure...I now get long distance calls for free, but they can't hear me!  And our calls usually get disconnected.  So what's the point???

FYI, the install fee is not 70 dollars, it is 24.95 if you already have one of our services, if not, it is approx. 49.95. I apologize you had a bad experience with a technichian but this is not the norm in our company. Hopefully going forward we can get this fixed and you will have a better experience.
