Time Warner Cable - Company — 

I had a horrible time with Time-Warner Cable in San Antonio, TX. When one housemate left and another moved in, we cut down our extended digital cable package to basic cable, and TWC didn't like that one bit. We got charged every fee in the book. I had to go over the bill with a magnifying glass every month for three months before we got the whole billing switch straightened out.

We tried the digital phone package for a while - it was awful. All of a sudden, we were flooded with marketing calls. I found out it would cost us an extra FIVE DOLLARS A MONTH to make our number unlisted. So, we're paying $25 a month to TWC for phone service; they are making God knows how much selling that number to telemarketers; then THEY want to charge US -EXTRA- to be unlisted! We got that disconnected right away.

Then my new housemate wanted a cable outlet in a different room. The first tech scheduled to do it couldn't get to my house before dark, so he rescheduled another time with me. Well, he didn't show for the rescheduled time either -- but it turned out he hadn't told anyone at TWC about it, so no one understood my complaint about either no-show! TWC didn't know about either one of them, because their tech was working off the books. I asked for the installation to be at no charge, because of the two no-shows. After much struggle, and many letters, I finally got that. 

All this time, I'm watching commercials of Manu Ginobili relaxing in his TWC-equipped house, enjoying  cable TV, Road Runner, and digital phone, while I can't even get an outlet installed properly. They had to assign a special person to my case. All I wanted was a letter of apology. They called me repeatedly, asking me over and over again if the work had been done, but apparently no one there can write because I never got that letter.

I am an native San Antonian, who is currently living the TW-service nightmare. After many years of satisfaction with TW, I suddenly need some real help (much along the same lines are StepKaye's) and there is no one to help me. The TW tech that came to my house lied about coming back the next day with a specialist to get my service going. Still no TV after 1 week and no help in sight.
