My kids Loved this when they were younger, this went through two girls and now my granddaughter is enjoying it, they managed to rip her tail off but we reattached it and she as good as new. She neighs, moves her head and tail, makes galloping noises, "eats" a carrot, and blinks her eyes. She scared my two year granddaughter at first but once she realized it wasn't going to hurt her we couldn't get her off. Great gift for younger children, little cowboys and cowgirls everywhere.

Bought this for my niece and she won't stop playing with it. Its mane and tail are firmly attached, and none of the fur seems to come off. It's great for a little boy or girl pretending to be a knight, or anyone who is a BIG fan of horses. The legs are also very sturdy.

My sister got Butterscotch from Santa two Christmas' ago, she is 9 now, and still loves her. Butterscotch has held up perfect, I am confused at the reviews saying it has torn up. We have a family of 5, with two dogs and Butterscotch still looks new, minus where she is sat on; the fur lays down flat. She sits on the pony to watch tv, brushes her everyday, and loves to practice putting her halter on and off. When she has friends over, they all go nuts to play with Butterscotch. My two year old brother loves playing and riding with Butterscotch as well, and can get up without any help. My sister also loves to pet her and play with the swishing tail. The major thing to note is the batteries. It would have been really smart of them to make a battery and charger kit. It akes 6 D batteries, and with how often my siblings use it, the batteries have to be changed once a month. The cost there adds up, but since 3 kids are getting daily use out of it, i guess it's worth it. But here's one caution: Be sure to turn the pony off when out of use to save batteries! Overall it is a great product!

I purchashed this for my Daughter's birthday. But since that is months away she has not received it yet. I happened to pick up a floor model on clearance. Though she loves to play with the display models when we run across them. I did assemble the pony in my basement and discovered it wasn't working right. I called the help line listed in the manuel and they were able to help me solve the problem quickly. Which turned out to be that I needed new batteries. I expect she will be excited to see it on her birthday. Personally I can't see paying full price for this item for what it does. But if she plays with it a lot, then I suppose it would be worth it.
