I bought this to give it a try and thought it was decent litter. The claims on the bag are that it is antimicrobial so it should not smell as bad and that it is virtually dust free. It also stated that you should not need to change your litter but once a week. While I agree that it did mask odors very well and it was almost completely dust free, I disagree on the changing only once a week. I scoop out my cat's messes almost immediately and I still needed to completely change his litter box after only three days. It did not keep odors at bay longer than that. Moisture Absorption Absorbs pretty good, not complete absorption but almost. Ease of Cleaning Some of the clumps had some breakage making it hard to completely get all the mess out. Odor Control Controlled odors for about three days before I had to completely change the box. Not as long as I'd hoped for. Ease of Use It is almost completely dust free so pouring this into the litter box was super easy.

Tidy Cats was on sale, and I had never used the Breathe Easy Formula before. I always have problems with cheaper cat litters because they either are too dusty, or very heavily fragrant. Most litters bother my asthma, or irritate my cat, so I thought I would give this litter a try. The Breathe Easy litter doesn't seem to have any dust to it all. When I poured the litter it didn't fly into my face, and the fragrance of this litter didn't bother me at all. Unlike other clumping cat litter, this didn't have a heavily fragrant perfume like scent. The scent was just very light, fresh, and clean. Even though the scent was very light, this litter has great odor control. After my cat used her box, the litter still smelled fresh and clean, and the odors were completely gone. I was surprised when I saw that people though that this litter didn't smell good. I think that they are just used to litters that have strong fragrances, because I didn't notice anything wrong with the scent or odor control. I couldn't smell any urine or bad scents at all. The litter allowed for me and my cat to breathe comfortably without inhaling any irritants. The litter also had the same great clumping power like all the other Tidy Cat litters I have tried. It clumped up really fast, and was easy to scoop out of the box because it didn't fall apart. It didn't leave any leftover moisture from the urine, and it kept my cats box from getting wet and soggy. My cat really liked this litter, and had no problems using it. Other litters have made my at wheeze and sneeze. If she doesn't like a litter she tries all day to kick it out of the box, but not with this litter. I think she was finally relieved to try a cat litter that didn't irritate her with heavy fragrances and dusts. Because this has no dust, I didn't have to give my cat baths as often . I clean my cats box on a daily basis and this litter was easy to clean, and was very long lasting. I would over all recommend this if you want a great clumping litter without dust and perfumey fragrance. This is even great for using with multiple cats because it's works fantastic at getting rid of odors, and keeping the litter box dry. This litter is inexpensive but works really well. I will definitely be purchasing this litter again. Moisture Absorption It soaked up all the urine in the box fast, and kept it dry. I didn't find any urine soaked corners, and the litter that was used completely clumped up into hard easy to scoop clumps. When it absorbs the urine it took away all the odors that came with it. Ease of Cleaning This litter was very easy to clean just like all other Tidy Cat litters I've tried. The litter formed hard clumps that were easy to scoop out. The urine never expanded or made the box wet. After the clumps were scooped out the litter remained clean and odor free. Odor Control he litter didn't have a heavy fragrance, but it did absorb, and keep all the odors away. The litter box was still fresh and clean smelling even after my cat used it. Ease of Use It was easy to use because it didn't have any dust, or fragrances that flew up into my face when I was pouring it out. It also gad great moisture absorption, was easy to clean, and completely got rid of any urine smells.

I had a container of Tidy Cats Scoop Breathe Easy Cat Litter given to me while I was pet sitting a friend's cat for a week. I sure am glad I am not the one who paid for this terrible litter. The problem with this litter is the scent it has. How is a litter that already smells horrible going to eliminate litter box odors? I am not sure how to describe the scent. It kind of smelled bitter and moldy. I decided to just use it and see how it was. One cat refused to use the litter box but the other did not seem to mind. I changed the litter obviously, since one of the cats refused to use it. I have no idea why the litter had such a nasty scent to it! I highly doubt it would eliminate pet odors since it already smelled bad! Do not get this litter. Odor Control The litter already smelled nasty, so I highly doubt it would control any pet odors! Ease of Use The container it comes in is convenient and there isn't much dust when you pour it.

I have never been a huge fan of Tidy Cats, but this is the worst of them all. In the jug, the litter smells okay, but once it had been urinated on, it turned almost sour. I mean, seriously, I am trying to cover up a smell, NOT create one! I actually thought that somehow the litter had gone bad, but, no, that's just the way this cat litter is. Moisture Absorption It does absorb the moisture satisfactorily. Ease of Cleaning Tidy Cats litter has a different texture than other litters. It consists of tiny balls of litter instead of the granules that Fresh Step or Scoop Away has. The texture of Tidy Cats does not allow it to clean as easily as Fresh Step. I have always had it crumble when trying to lift it out of the litter box. Odor Control The worst odor control I have ever experienced in a cat litter. Once peed on, it creates a horrible smell that fills the house. Ease of Use As easy to use as most other cat litters. Just poor into the litter box and clean when necessary.

I always shake the containers in the store vigorously and then open the lid and see how much dust pours out. This one is next to nothing, as is the case with most varieties of this brand. This variety smells pretty good, too. It's got the same good clumping qualities of the other varieties, also.

In my opinion and many years of experience this cat litter is THE ONE if you have problems with dust. It really makes breathing easier as the statement claims. I have two kitties and after tthree Littermaid boxes did stop working, I started to use a "regular" tall litter box and tried almost all other litters on the market until I found the good one..

I absolutely love this litter. I've always been a fan of Tidy Cats. We have multiple litter boxes for our multiple cats. Breathe Easy is by far the best not just in odor control, but smelling fresh! Ease of Cleaning It clumps great like all Tidy Cats clumping litter. Odor Control Best Tidy Cats odor control litter of all! Ease of Use The new easy pour handle on the 14lb tote is great!

I agonized over giving my cat a clay scoop litter, but the vet says she's reached an age where she is more vulnerable to UTI and she needs a clumping litter that fights bacteria. The all natural litters that I had previously been favoring are actually not very good for that. Tidy Cats Breathe Easy has an ingredient in it that helps a lot. The kitty took to it right away, so no complaints from that quarter. I have been very impressed with its performance. The only litter I've tried that performed better in terms of odor control was EverClean, and Breathe Easy is way less dusty than EverClean. I wish this stuff weren't so heavy to lift and carry, but since I can't complain about any other aspect of its contribution to my cat's quality of life, I'll take the workout. Another caveat: this isn't one of those litters that reaches maximum effectiveness with only a smidgen in the pan. You need a good inch deep, probably more. Other than that, I'm very pleased with this variety of this brand and will go out of my way to find it. Moisture Absorption This Tidy Cats product forms solid clumps that are easy to remove from the pan, leaving no residue to get kicked around and contaminate the rest of the litter with leftover moisture. Ease of Cleaning Thanks to the solid clumping and the fact that it dries out doodles fairly quickly, scooping is a breeze. Odor Control This does a better job of odor control than any other litter in its price class that I've tried. The only time odor ever becomes a problem is when there just isn't enough litter left in the pan, then it's time to cycle it out for a fresh pan. On that note, you do need at least an inch deep of litter for effectiveness. Ease of Use This litter is a cinch to keep clean, nothing complicated here. If only it weren't so heavy...

I have used Tidy Cat for years. I had a coupon a couple of months ago and tried the "breath easy" variety. It is much better on dust than the traditional tidy cat and the smell is nicer. It does a great job clumping as do the other Tidy Cat products however it is more expensive than the original varieties. I guess if I have a good coupon I will purchase this one over the others.
