Stained clothing can be an embarrassment when away from home. Besides running to the restroom and applying water, there is little else that can be done to eliminate the problem. Until now, that is: there is now a solution for these inconvenient staining moments away from home. The solution is Tide to Go, a portable product that is designed to eliminate annoying stains quickly.
Cleaner Commentary:
Tide to Go is a unique product in the world of cleaning supplies. Proctor and Gamble is known for its product innovation and this ranks as one of its more unique creations from the past few years.
Probably the best features of Tide to Go are its convenience and its easy portability. Not only is it convenient to have a product that does what Tide to Go can do, it is also convenient for other reasons; like the shape of the container and the relative ease of use. Since it is exactly the same size and shape as a felt- tipped marker, it fits easily into a pocket or purse. And it is very easy to use. There is no mixing and little mess. All you do is press the tip against the surface of your clothing and rub until the stain is gone.
Tide to Go is a very good product but it is not as perfect as some have claimed. There are certain types of stains that it will not eliminate, such as blood and grease. To the manufacturer's credit, it does not claim to eliminate all stains and its own web site discloses the fact that Tide to Go is really intended for food and beverage stains. This explains why I have had little trouble eliminating things like tomato sauce stains from my shirt. It also explains why I have had less success with other types of stains, like those caused by crayons, ink pens, and other things. I tried to use this once on my little girl's dress after she stained it with ink, but it didn't eliminate the stain. It barely lightened it, making it only slightly less noticeable.
Bottom Line Viewpoint:
Overall, Tide to Go is a good product that will remove many tough stains easily, with little effort and few problems. It won't work on all stains, but I respect the fact that the manufacturer clearly points this out in its web site and in other sources. Tide to Go isn't perfect, but its ability to erase food and beverage stains and eliminate a potentially embarrassing moment make it easily worth the cost.
