Tide-to-Go Instant Stain Remover —

After seeing the Tide commercial of the military recruit amazing his drill sergeant with the instant stain removing powers of the Tide spot removing pen, I picked one up thinking that it would be great to remove stains on my white work apron.  I work in a busy restaurant and ketchup, wine and other noticeable stains always seem to find a way to tarnish my clean and professional appearance.  So after a busy shift, I tried the Tide pen out.  I had a wine spill on the white apron and that was the first  test.  Although the Tide pen did not remove the stain, it did lighten it to the point where I could wear the apron to another shift.  The same could have been done with soda water, but the Tide pen did have the advantage of not leaving a wet spot that needed to dry.  However, where I used the Tide pen on my black pants and shirt, it really did very little to remove or hide the various food stains.  Overall, the product worked, but no better than other more traditional stain removing methods such as soda water and less well than a little soapy water on stains on dark material. Will I continue to use the Tide pen? Sure.  Would it get me out of push ups in boot camp?  Doubtful
