To begin with, I purchase tickets with relative frequency and I must say that I've had great experiences with Ticketliquidator.com. In the past, I tried purchasing tickets from websites like TicketsNow, StubHub, and RazorGator. However, I think Ticketliquidator.com is the best for the Grade A service they provide their customers. It's a completely "legit" site and it's far from the "scam" that I've seen some angry internet users claim.

First, Ticketliquidator customer service is very professional and courteous. Every time I call, I always reach someone who's helpful and willing to attend to my concerns. Even better, the e-mail service from Ticketliquidator.com is prompt (a thank-God rarity nowadays).

Second, Ticketliquidator provides extra services to consumers that its competitors don't. Best of all, they send you an e-mail before your event with a 10-day weather forecast, driving directions from your house to the theater/stadium, and a list of local restaurants where you can eat.

Third, Ticketliquidator generally has lower prices than its competition in the secondary ticket market. You can easily check that out for yourself with a little price comparison. Case in point: I'm looking today (7/10/2009) at tickets for David Archuleta on 7/16/2009. Floor 4, Row J tickets on StubHub are going for $90.00 each. RazorGator has them for $91 each. TicketsNow has them for $86 each. Ticketliquidator has them for $78 each.

Fourth, Ticketliquidator is a part of TicketNetwork Direct and therefore has access to the largest ticket inventory on the internet. This means that you're sure to get an excellent selection of seats and events when you check our their website. Case in point #2: I'm looking again today at David Archuleta tickets for July 16th. StubHub has 10 groupings available. TicketsNow has 6. RazorGator has 5. Ticketliquidator has 26.

Fourth, I liked Ticketliquidator because it was easy to order from them. I was rather annoyed that StubHub made finding a total price very difficult. I started off by clicking on the StubHub tickets I wanted so as to check out their service fee. So, to start with, they brought me to a webpage confirming the tickets I wanted. Then they brought me to another webpage where I had to input my e-mail address. Then they brought me to yet another webpage I had to go through (I forget why). THEN there was ANOTHER page for my billing information (still no total yet!). Around there, I gave up in annoyance and turned to Ticketliquidator. Fortunately, their website simply loaded a nice, big webpage immediately after I selected my two tickets. This showed me the total ticket price, the delivery options, etc, etc, all in one.

Fifth, Ticketliquidator provides a safe and reliable service to make sure you receive your tickets and that they're valid. In contrast, website competitor StubHub bills itself as a "Fan-to-Fan" marketplace where "you the fan" can buy and sell tickets. Well, that's fine, but, personally, I'm leery about tossing out a few hundred dollars to buy tickets from some anonymous "fan" who could well be a wingnut. In contrast, Ticketliquidator primarily offers tickets from legitimate and licensed ticket brokers. This means that you're less likely to be stuck with a bad order (and a big bill) from a ticket-selling fluke. It also means that ticket prices for events on Ticketliquidator are likely to go down as an event nears. Why? Because, a la StubHub, normal, everyday, Apple-Pie "fans" who sell tickets usually keep their ticket prices high due to the fact that they're often willing to attend the event themselves if they can't sell their tickets. In contrast, ticket brokers have no intention of attending a given event (they may even be hundreds of miles away from the venue) and are therefore more likely to drop their ticket prices drastically as an event nears in order to get at least some return on their investment.

That being said, the only thing I don't like about Ticketliquidator is their website, which looks a wee bit drab. But, then again, I'd rather have good service and a drab website than bad service and a snazzy website. Therefore, all in all, website prettiness is not a major factor for me, but it may be for quick observers. To them, I say: look past the HTML!

Okay, I'm almost done... But, before concluding my review, I need to mention that Ticketliquidator, StubHub, RazorGator, TicketsNow, and so on are all secondary ticket market websites. This means that they host sellers who RESELL tickets they previously bought from first-hand sources (venues, Ticketmaster, etc). Typically, these sellers (not the websites) price their tickets above or below their face value. Generally, therefore, first-hand sources sell tickets at a cheaper price than do the second-hand ones. Consequently, before any event, I recommend you check Ticketmaster and the venue concerned before going anywhere else. Everyone out there should do likewise and save yourself an apopleptic fit later on. (There's nothing worse than buying $100 tickets that you could have gotten for $40 -- so research! ) However, that said, if I can't find good seats through the venue or Ticketmaster, I always turn to Ticketliquidator. They're safe, reliable, and I would recommend them to anyone who wants to buy tickets.
