If you've got an early version of a TIVO box then this is a must buy option. I tried several non branded tools and they fell short, were difficult to set up and use. this however was easy, has nice range and makes using the Tivo wirelessly easy and effective.

I've been a loyal TiVo customer since about 2004, I wouldn't live without my Tivo. When we moved last year, we decided not to have a home phone and use our cell phones exclusively. I hadn't thought of my beloved TiVo that needed to connect to get my programming. I picked up this Wireless G USB adapter made for TiVo. Since we have a high speed wireless connection, this was a breeze to add to our home network. Basically all you need to do is plug it into the usb port on the back of the TiVo machine and follow the on screen setup to add the device to your secure wireless network, that's it. Not only do you not need a phone line to receive programming, but you open up a whole bunch of awesome features when you connect your TiVo (depending on your model) to broadband including Netflix, internet radio, on demand videos, you tube, facebook, the list goes on, and you can even access your own music and photos from your computers. Oh and don't forget you can have multi room viewing on your TiVos if you have more than one. TiVo Wireless is the way to go!

I've been a Tivo owner for eight years and loved ever moment of it. About 4 years ago we purchased two of the Tivo wireless adapters. We have absolutely LOVED having the Tivo's networked together. There are so many benefits to adding the adapter to your Tivo. First of all we love moving shows back and forth between the living room and the bedroom. For a long time we had a dual tuner in the living room and a regular tivo in the bedroom. It really helped being able to record shows on the dual tuner in the living room and then move those shows into the bedroom to watch. The only real drawback is deciding which room to watch the shows in. The other great thing about using the wireless adapter is the ability to order movies on demand. We typically order movies from Amazon. We just need to plan ahead of time because the moves do take a bit of time to download. Recently we started using Netflix - and the watching is instant but there is no way to watch new releases. All and all we've really loved the adapter. Occasionally they drop the signal and we have to reset them, but it is definitely worth the hassle.

We bought the TiVo- Wireless G SB adapter because we didn't want to run a cable cord over to the TiVo.  This works perfectly.  It was a bit tricky to get it to connect to the network the first time.  We had to look up our network settings and such.  I should mention we have an older TiVo so set-up may be even easier on the newer models.  Now the wireless adapter works seamlessly and connects to our network to keep our TiVo updated without issues.   We even tried using it with our smartphone's mobile hotspot and it utilized verizon's network without issue to update.  As long as your hot spot is on, the adapter will seek it out and automatically connect.  TiVo will even remind you to update if you forget to turn on you hotspot periodically for it to update.  This adapter is very small so it is no problem fitting it on the shelf right next to our TiVo or even on the shelf right behind it.  It looks nice enough that we don't mind having to see the adapter.

When my husband and I finally upgraded to a tivo system we were immediately impressed with it. Not only does it "tape" our favorite shows, allows us to fast forward through commercials and does it easily it also is so easy to use even the technologically impaired could do it. We started with a "wired" system since the wireless system was an extra cost that we weren't sure if we needed. We quickly realized that it is a must have. It makes the system work more efficiently and faster. It allows us more freedom in where we put our box. We have never had any trouble with interruptions or technological problems. The drawbacks are only a few. First it is another expense on top of the box. I wish it came with the system for a slightly higher cost than the box. The other is that unless you are very tech savvy you might need a little help setting it up. Fortunately my husband is a computer geek and was able to figure it out easily.

My husband and I solely use our cell phones and therefore don't have a home phone.  This particular is a great option to keep your Tivo updated while not having a home phone line.  It doesn't take up any room and can be easily hidden in the back of the TV.  We have had problems with our wireless internet connection but that was never due to the adapter.  The downside to this product would be it is expensive and it only works with the Tivo system.  No other adapter will work with the Tivo system except for this matching Tivo adapter.  You have the options of setting it up to update automatically or you can manually update it whenever you are running out of memory.  The memory lasts about 2 weeks and can even be unplugged when it isn't updating every 2 weeks.  Overall, we have enjoyed all products by Tivo that we own but this has been especially helpful to us due to our lack of home phone line.

My original TIVO is till connected to a phone line, for some reason. But when my husband got me a new TIVO for Christmas, it came with the wireless adapter - and it changed my life!! We live out in the sticks, so the phone has to make a long distnce call to update - and that is practically the only calls on my phone bill, becaus it calls a LOT. I had tried an older USB Adapter before and it would not even recognize my network, so I was sceptical, but this adapter connected on the first try - and it has never failed or missed anything since!! I LOVE IT!!

When I got my TiVo Wireless G USB Adapter for Christmas, I had honestly no idea of what it did.  My tech savy brother was soon to point out how this little product would take my TiVo use up a notch.  He was kind enough to set it up for me, and he ran into many installation problems along the way.  To be fair, I think it is because my wireless router sucks royally, but he finally got it going.  It is so cool!  I would say what I most use this product for is to move shows from my TiVo to my Mac.  Uploads can be slow from one to the other (again it might be my network or router that causes this) but once they are on there I can transfer new shows to my iPod to watch at the gym or on the go.  So cool.  It is saving me money from buying shows on iTunes.  It also lets me set my Tivo wirelessly in case I forget something.  I think this product is a great buy for anyone who loves both their TiVo and watching shows on their iPod.  Very cool.
