Jasper Fforde's latest is here and I'm so glad he returned to Thursday's world, even if he did age her 14 years to middle age. I saw him at our local independant bookstore (Quail Ridge Books in Raleigh) and he was hilarious! Plus, his voice and speaking patterns were just like those of Hugh Grant, I kid you not. If you think his books are funny, then you have got to see him in person sometime. All the Jasper Fforde books are fantastic. The humor is quirky, and the plots are unique and captivating. Fforde's knowledge of literature has to be tremendous to create the 'Thursday Next' books. The continued ties to the previous books makes having read them a must to enjoy all the facets of the story line in this latest book. I agree with a previous review that this book is a bit slow to start, but once you are in it, it moves just as fast as the others did.
