Thrifty —

I just rented a car for a week while on vacation and we used Thrifty. We were given a 4door Suzuki something that was scaled down (did not come with the bells and whistles you'd see in other cars these days). There was no cruise control, the driver seat was manual for adjustment, not electric. The mph window was on the 10s so you had to actually pay attention to your speed by counting the hash marks in between the 10, 20, 30, etc. The seat could not be lifted up for shorter drivers such as myself so seeing the hood of the car was impossible for me.

The interior had been cleaned however the outside was not washed. It was very dirty as if it went off roading.Ever since their merge with the other rental company service has gone downhill. You are charged for just about everything, they don't offer many perks these days. It used to be if you returned your car before your due date/time they made the adjustment and credited you accordingly. Now if you return the car the day before or the day after your due date you are charged $15 for the return....i'd think that a company would be happy to have the car back early to get cleaned up and rented again for the next customer!

The gas mileage was great on the car (about 300 miles on a full tank of gas) and it was a fairly smooth ride. At the time they were charging $3.98gallon for fuel so I deffinately took advantage of that one since it was 6 cents a gallon cheaper than our cheapest station here!

NOTE: the reviewer indicated that they are affiliated with Thrifty
