Three Stooges - Vol. 1 —

If you like slapstick comedy, you certainly are aware of the 3 stooges.  Over the years, their videos have been packaged and repackaged and thrust into the publics hands -often with overlapping episodes,  attrocious film quality, Curly mixed with non Curly episodes, and an opportunity to spend a lot of money in an attempt to secure the whole run of the series and usually failing

This 2007 release contains 19 episodes (340 minutes) in order of release from the years 1934, 1935, and 1936.  Nothing missing, and nothing stuck in from 20 years later (nothing against Shemp but I love Curly).  The quality of the film is excellent - clean and sharp with good contract and okay sound (certainly not THX dolby but not bad considering it is over 70 years old).  The price is very good - on sale for under $20 (I paid under $16) if you hunt around.  At this rate, it will take approximately 5 sets to complete the Curly run.  I don't know if they plan on doing the Shemp episodes as well.

A great gift - young kids of today still seem to enjoy the Stooges black and white and all

I'm ready for Vol 2!!
