Thomas and Friends Wooden Railway Oval Set By Learning Curve —

Thomas and Friends Wooden Railway Oval Set By Learning Curve goes by another name, at least it does on the box, Thomas the Train Beginner Set. My daughter's recently have been showing a healthy interest in trains, and while they remain girly girls in ruffled dresses they enjoy pushing trains around the track or letting the engine do the work.

For Christmas they received Thomas and Friends Wooden Railway Oval Set By Learning Curve from grandma and grandpa. After the last ribbon fell to the ground we pulled out this beginner train set and put it together within minutes.  I barely even needed the instructions.

Thomas and Friends Wooden Railway Oval Set By Learning Curve comes with one motorized Thomas Engine (needs 2 AA batteries), a simple oval curved track, a "switch" to park the train and a station.  Price;  $24.99.

The girls immediated played with their Thomas and Friends Wooden Railway Oval Set By Learning Curve. And they are still playing with it every day!  I did add some more Thomas & Friends Die Cast Trains and added a few more peices of signs and buildings, but those could be added inexpensively.

My only concern is in their frilly dresses (their choice not mine) they have actually gotten the motorized train caught in the ruffles.

It is a wonderful beginning to a love of trains and travel as well as the creative world of make believe play.  And, it gives grandma and grandpa a whole world of toys to choose from to add to it!

I remember when my nephews, all 3 of them, went thru the Thomas phase and then it was Bob the Builder. The Little Choo Choo Shop that I was at on Saturday has a good collection of Thomas stuff.
