If you have child that is into Thomas then you know what I am talking about! These die cast trains are the best things you can buy.I bought my son his first die cast Thomas about 3 years ago and from then on we buy them like crazy! I would say he has about 50 and he still doesn't have them all. They range from $4.99 to $14.99 really depending on where you buy them. The single engines like Thomas and Percy run the cheapest and Train with tenders like Emily and James run around $6.99.They have the breakdown trains, coal cars, oil cars anything you have see on Thomas and friends comes in a die cast at one time or another. They seem to be very durable since we still have the same Thomas we bought 3 years ago and it has been through the ringer.I have learned recently that the trains seem to retire but can be purchased through a train magazine that you can request online. They also sell the tracks that the die cast trains can "puff" down the track on.These trains have my son playing and using his imagination for hours and the best thing is his 10 year old brother is right there beside him playing too!

I hear ya! My sons are now 7 and 10 and they were huge fans! We have a ton too. I hate to get rid of them because they cost so much!
