Sometimes when you use cloth diapers, you need to have a cover. This is important if you use diapers that do not have a waterproof lining in them. The cover keeps your child's clothing from getting wet!
Why would you use cloth diapers? Well, they are great for the environment. No chemicals. No dirty diapers thrown in landfills. They save you money in the long run. And they are cute, too!
There are many kinds of cloth diapers out there, and many kinds of covers too. Thirsties is a name brand that makes covers. The covers are made of PUL (a waterproof fabric) and are very soft. ...
review »When I first decided to cloth diaper my son, I really didn't have much money, and cloth diapering can be expensive starting out! I already had prefold diapers I had bought to use as burp cloths, so I decided to just order a couple of diaper covers to see how I liked it before spending much money. I looked at probably just about every diaper cover there is and read so many reviews, and finally decided to go with Thirsties because they were inexpensive and looked pretty durable, and plus they had several colors to choose from. The prefold fit fine inside them, although definitely more bulky...
review »The Thirsties Diaper Cover is just wonderful! I love that there are so many beautiful colors to choose from. The double leg gusset is perfect for holding in breast-fed poo, and we have never had a leak while using these. The cut of these covers is generous enough for a prefold with a doubler, and also lots of different fitted diapers, too. The sizing is wonderful! We used the X-Small sized cover starting when our son was about nine pounds and it fit him perfectly. We have occasionally had a pee leak using these, mostly nap time when the waistband of baby's pants slipped under the top...
review »I bought a 5 Thirsties diaper covers for my daughter when she was 10 months old. They were one of the more economical choices, and I thought they looked cute. We use Indian Prefolds and although my daughter is skinny, these covers have never leaked. When we use disposables she has at least one leak a week. They never leave red spots on her legs, either. And I love the variety of colors they are available in. I recently purchased one of the new Thirsties Duos, and I love it too! Being able to use the same cover for multiple sizes is a very handy thing. I recommend these covers to anyone...
review »My friend highly recommended Thirsties Diaper Covers as an alternative to some of the others I had been using. I bought one, figuring I would try it. Well, it is now my favorite diaper cover. The PUL lining is easily cleaned if poop gets on the cover, and the gussets are perfect for containing any leaks. We have not had a single blow out, nor have we had any wet clothes from these diapers. I was really impressed. They also come in really great colors! I had a dress for my daughter that had no spanky pants to go with it, and just using the yellow Thirsties cover under the dress worked just as well!...
review »We love our thirsties covers. Really wish they came in prints. We use them with prefolds, fitted diapers, and gdiaper disposable inserts and they are great. We've not had a leak with wet or dirty diapers to date (the baby we're using them on is 8 weeks)
