One of my favorite covers!

5

I have been cloth diapering my 15 month old baby since she was 3 months old, and after endless research these were the first diaper covers I bought. I bought size 1 with snaps and they were my favorite to use until she finally outgrew them around 9 months. We never leaked with breast-fed poop, and I don't remember it ever leaking urine either. I found the diapers to fit well at 3 months, and honestly, she could have fit in them before, had I been ready to try cloth-diapering. I did not buy the size 2s only because I had received other larger sized diaper covers as presents, but I might buy a few more of these for my next baby. If I were to have used size 2s, I would have stuck with the snaps because they can take off the velcro. When the baby is younger I strongly prefer the sized covers like this instead of all-in-one-sizes. Ease of Use There is definitely an adjustment for any parent new to cloth-diapering, but these were pretty easy to get used to. I often used with a prefold in jelly roll fold. Leak Prevention I don't remember a single leak. We always used these covers when going into the car, because that is prime location for blow-outs, and these are tight with the double leg gussets! Absorbency Honestly, the covers don't have much to do with the absorbency...so I gave it a 10 for keeping it from leaking so that the prefold could absorb and do its job.

Love these covers!

I have been cloth diapering my 21 month old son since he was about two months old (he was a preemie, and much too small for the covers as a newborn until he weighed about seven pounds. I have used the Thirsties Wrap Snap duo covers in both size one and size two every day since then and I would recommend them to anyone interested in cloth diapering. We use them with a Chinese cotton prefold (OsoCozy) with great success. The snaps have also held up with absolutely no damage to even a single cover (I had seven of size one, and six of size two). I anticipate being able to reuse them for another child, and even sell them when I am done with diapers. In addition to durability, the covers wash well with the rest of the diaper laundry. I do air-dry them to avoid damaging the PUL fabric. If I have one complaint (and it is minor), it is that all of the trim is white, which can stain a bit around the leg gussets (I mean, it's a diaper cover). I have recommended these to friends and have at least two that are now using these to cloth diaper their own children.

Great Concept

This is a great diaper cover. I love the idea of a two-sized system because "one-sized" covers are not really one-size fits all. Newborns are way too small to fit into most one size covers. These were my favorites when my baby girl was very small. I used them on her from about 8 weeks of age to about 5 months. I would have gotten even more use out of them if I'd started using them sooner because they were the only multi-sized covers that fit her when she was tiny. Now, I do have to say that when we switched from size 1 to size to we had a bit of difficulty with the fit but after a while that stopped being an issue. It could have had something to do with my baby's body shape and the fact that I was using prefolds at the time and now I tend to use flats more often than prefolds. Each baby has their own unique body shape so what fits well on one baby or even at one particular period in their life may not fit another. Either way it's a great cover. Ease of Use Very easy to use, especially the velcro. Leak Prevention Excellent leak prevention. Those double gussets definitely do the job. Comfort I'm giving it a 7 rating because while the covers work just fine there's something about the legs now that make me think they're tight around the legs. Now, please keep in mind that my baby girl has some magnificent thunder thighs so that might be the problem. Otherwise they fit great. Absorbency Not sure why absorbency is included on a review for a cover but I'm giving it an 8 because of the double gussets since they keep wetness and poosplosions contained very well.

Great diaper, especially on breast-fed powered poop!

When it comes to a breast fed baby, gussets are an absolute must! I love Thirsties since they have the gussets, and have found them to be quite waterproof. For older children, the Thirsties also works quite well, though gussets are less of a necessity, so I am preferring Flips on my toddler (Flips don't have gussets and are one size, so they would probably not work as well on a newborn). The Thirsties diaper cover does have quite a trim fit though, so that helps a lot with trimming up bulky prefolds. Generally, I prefer using the snap version, especially on my toddler - though I am finding that one of the snaps is starting to tear away at the PUL. On a newborn, I tend to prefer the velcro version, especially at nighttime, but they tend to lose their stickiness after a while, which is frustrating. Leak Prevention For the most part, this diaper is quite leak proof. But, if you allow the prefold to get super wet inside, there is a higher chance that the binding along the side of the gusset will get saturated and start to leak onto your baby's clothes. Also, I found that mine started leaking a lot at one point, and that signaled to me that I needed to move up to the next size prefold.

Great for beginners!

When I first began cloth diapering, I was totally clueless. The ease of the Thirsties covers, used along with prefolds, made it so easy to know what I was doing! They are so simple to use and wash, plus they have some great unisex designs! They are light and flexible, allowing wiggly babies to move freely. The velcro is nice and strong, which keeps my curious toddler from pulling the diapers off - so it's a huge relief to know that I can turn my back for a minute without worrying about coming back to a scary mess! Leak Prevention We have only had two leaks in over 1.5 years of use! Comfort These are a particular favorite for the warmer months of the year, since the covers are light and flexible. My son can sleep in one of these diapers and a t-shirt and stay cool all night long - and we still don't have to worry about leaks or slippage! Absorbency Absorbency mostly depends on the types of diapers you use with these covers, but the covers themselves do an excellent job of covering enough of baby's skin to lock in leaks and prevent any blowouts.

I love Love Love these covers. I can't say enough great things about them. My last child i wanted to be a girl just so i could buy the cute prints these diapers come in. haha. i already had all the boy prints. These covers are the only ones i'v ever had that did not leak. that came in adorable prints and that fit right from birth. I have both the snaps and the velcro. both work amazing. after going through use of 2 children the elastic in all of my thirsties are still in great working condition. Have;t had to replace any as well as the snaps and velcro. They are too bulky like some covers on babies making them look very uncomfortable. best diaper covers ever.

A diaper cover that lasts and is cute!

I am a huge fan of Thirsties diaper covers after 15 months deep into cloth diapering. We purchased the covers and diaper pail lining. The company has replaced the diaper pail lining twice for faulty construction on them which was nice. I haven't had any problems with the actual covers though. They rarely leak, the grow with your baby so you don't have to buy a bunch of different sizes, and they come in cute patterns. The apex will only last for one kid but the snaps will last through several. Ease of Use Easy to snap in place, love how it is setup. Leak Prevention I have had very few leaks! Comfort My daughter doesn't seem to mind them. Absorbency We used cloth in the inside of the covers but the cover does prevent it from leaking out - they are water proof.

I purchased 10 of these Duo Wraps (also called Duo Diaper Covers) for my twins before they were born. The covers come in two sizes- size 1 fits approximately 6 - 18 lbs, and size 2 fits approximately 18 - 40 lbs. It also comes in both aplix/velcro or snaps. I chose velcro, for ease of use. Things I liked about these covers: * The size 1 really did fit my babies almost from birth. We started using them at 2 weeks old and only had a few leaks, which were from user error and not a flaw in the product. * The velcro held up extremely well and did not curl or fuzz up even after months of use. * They are very easy to use! Things I did not like about these covers: * My children outgrew them long before the 18 pound expected limit. I found the covers to be snug on both babies when they hit approximately 15 pounds. Not that big a problem, because the size 2 fit starting from about 15 instead of the stated 18 pounds, but I did expect to get more use out of the size 1s. * Two of them developed holes in the waterproofing laminate inside. I contacted Thirsties Customer Service and they were fantastic and sent me replacements. I may have gotten a "bad batch" as they say, because both the covers that developed holes were from the same lot. Overall I find these to be a good cover because of the two-size system, but because of the issues I had with the holes and because I did not get to use them as long as expected, I would rate them pretty average overall.

Hands down the best diaper cover for your money!

5

When I first started out cloth diapering I used thirsties regular covers over prefolds but as my baby started growing I didn't want to have to buy new covers for each size so I did some research and came across these. I grabbed 3 and instantly fell in love. Size 1 lasted until my baby was almost a year old. Size two is still on the smallest setting and she is now 18 months. If you got into cloth diapering to save money like I did, these are the best bang for you buck! They are durable and last a very long time. I ended up getting a few from a friend who had twins and after three babies (mine included) they still look great!

Thirsties Duo Diaper Covers are the only covers I recommend.

Thirsties covers are fantastic. I know the double gussets are a huge bonus, but there's just something else about these babies... they're bulletproof. The duo sizing just adds icing to the Thirsties cake, because you really get a great fit in three sizes. Get three or four for a newborn and you're set until at least six months of age. The prints are adorable and the colors are current, unlike some other cover manufacturers. The PUL is excellent quality and the cover is easily wiped clean between uses. We washed two of our four each day, rotating out, and only the ones with poop were deemed 'dirty'. I don't think we ever had a poop blowout in a Thirsties cover. We had velcro closures (I think they're also available in snap closure now) and never had an issue with the velcro wearing out, because there was never a reason to put these in the dryer. Always hang your PUL diapers to dry!
