ENHANCE & IMPROVE What writer doesn't want to improve a piece before turning it in, or mailing it? Part of that process includes ditching tired or overused words, and replacing them with a more interesting counterpart. Enter thesaurus.com.
BENEFICIAL TO EVERYONE Simply type in the word you want, click on the Thesaurus tab at the top of the page, and voila! Dozens of choices usually appear. Scan the clusters of matches, and you're sure to find a wonderful word that improves your written work, from articles for pay, to important business letters and proprosals. Students will wow their teachers, and improve their vocabulary in the process. (Baby boomers will simply appreciate the memory jog for those tip-of-the-tongue words that can't be remembered!)
DOUBLE-CHECK If you need to double-check the meaning of your first choice, no problem. A dictionary is included in the site. Just type in your chosen word, and select the Dictionary tab at the top.
SORRY, MRs ROGET & WEBSTER.... You guys did a great job. It's just I'm already online, and your books are across the room, and they're heavy . . . and now they're even a little dusty!
The Bottom Line: Libby Loves It!
