Love it.

I bought the ThermiPaq Therapeutic Hot & Cold Pad to use for my back/neck pain and migraine headaches. It has been a lifesaver. I keep one in the freezer at home, and one in the freezer at work for when I feel a migraine headache coming on. My doctor had suggested icing my head, which works, but using ice in plastic bags can be a pain. The Thermipaq consists of a clay pack which is inside a soft cloth with velcro. It gets nice and cold in the freezer, and is a lot easier to use than ice cubes. It truly helps with the pain. To relieve a sore neck and back muscles, I heat the pad in the microwave. It has a strap with velcro that you can use to keep it in place. One note of caution--since the pad underneath the soft purple cloth is made of some type of clay, it will burst if overheated. I found this out the hard way when I put one in the microwave for too long, and it broke. The directions clearly say not to do that, so it was my own mistake. Effectiveness Works great. Ease of Use Just put in freezer for cold, or microwave for heat.

Convenient ... a heating pad that doesnt need to be plugged in!

Remember those old fashioned electric heating pads that kept you tethered to an electrical outlet? I love my Thermipaq heating pad that lets me go anywhere (as long as there is a microwave nearby every hour or so) and still enjoy the comfort of the warm heat. They come with elastic straps so you can actually strap it on and wear the heating pad around which is very convenient. I need the heating pad for my hands so I use the smallest one and just wrap it over my hands. The clay can get a little heavy so consider this when deciding which size to get. I ordered a large one initially but it was too heavy to carry around when my hands hurt so I put it away for those times when someone in the family has a back ache. The clay holds the heat well. Do be careful not to overheat the Thermipaq heating pad, follow the time directions closely or it can come out really hot. Or if you had a larger one (like me) and switched to a smaller one (like me) and forget and put the small one in and set the microwave timer for the time you'd been using for the large one (like me) it will make a loud noise and explode in your microwave (yes, like me). Silly me, follow the directions and it is a great product. Dont follow the directions and you have to clean hot clay out of the microwave.

ThermiPaq Therapeutic Hot & Cold Pad, Works great!

ThermiPaq Therapeutic Hot & Cold Pad/Paq. I have had this hot/cold pack for about 5 years. It heats up easy or freezes easy. The heat or cold lasts a long time. I like that I can fold it in half and put it in the microwave to heat it up. I use it mostly for my lower back. It has a nice cover that can be easily washed. I use it mostly for heat. The heat lasts a long time and when it starts to get cool I just pop it back in the microwave for a few seconds. If I need something to keep my stuff cold this does the trick just nicely. Especially where it can wrap around things. When I bought it I thought I would get about 6 months out of it because it has this thick gel/clay stuff inside of it. I was quite surprised as I use it frequently and I can always rely on it to take away my pain even all these years later. The heat is a nice moist heat not a dry heat. Great for the muscles. I Highly Recommend the Thermipaq. It works as good today as it did when I bought it.

conveniant and reusable!

I recently had my wisdom teeth removed and was instructed after the surgery to apply an ice pack for the first 24 hours and then swich to heat. This pack did both jobs. I simply kept in in the freezer to keep it cold and stick in the microwave to warm it up. It only took 1 min in the microwave to warm it up and it holds the heat for a long time. It also has a very nifty elastic band. As funny as it sounds I was able to strap it in place so I was still able to use my hands to take care of my kids. This product was wonderful in helping me recover!

The Thermipaq pad is convenient and flexible

I occasionally get an ache or pain that can be alleviated with either a hot or cold compress. During a recent bout with a sore arm I went out and bought the **Thermipaq Therapeutic Hot and Cold Pad**, which has some features that make it easy to use. After using the pad for a few days I can say that I was impressed with this product. The **Thermipaq Therapeutic Hot and Cold Pad** measures 12" X 6". The pad is heavy yet flexible plastic filled with clay. The pad is slipped into a comfortable fabric sleeve pouch.  What's really neat about the fabric pouch is a Velcro strap that allows you to wrap it around a limb - in my case an arm. So how does the pad get hot or cold?  For cold compresses, which I mostly used, put the pad in the freezer for about 1 hour. The clay material will be very chilled but still be flexible. When ready to use, just put the pad in the fabric sleeve and wrap or drape it around the affected area. It surrounded my arm in cold and helped reduced the swelling I had. You may need to take a break from the cold treatment for a few minutes to prevent your arm from getting too cold. For hot treatments the pad is microwaved for about 1 minute. I used the hot treatment on a tired leg muscle and loved the way it felt. The clay contents of the **Thermipaq** radiates heat for a good 40 minutes. This allows the heat to slowly sink in and relax the muscle. It's also way more convenient than either a heating pad or messy ice pack. In my experience the **Thermipaq Therapeutic Hot and Cold Pad **works really well.  It is flexible, retains hot or cold for quite a while, and has a convenient fabric pouch with a Velcro strap.  The pouch color is purple, which is one of my least favorite colors, but that doesn't affect the way it works.  So overall I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hot and cold pack for treatment of any minor aches or pains you may have that can be treated at home.

This works better.

I was out of state helping my grandparents move. Lots of furniture and heavy boxes, so my back was killing me. I hurt it badly the first day trying to move an entertainment center, and I was worried about the pain getting worse since I was a large portion of the manpower available. I hadn't brought any hotpads with me, although my father suffers from chronic back pain and keeps a dozen of the gel variety in the freezer. I grabbed the thermipaq since it was cheaper than the icy hot packs, and reusable. I slept on top of it and felt wonderful, I didn't have pain again all the next morning. The thermipaq was just better than the heatable pads I'd used. I left that one for my grandparents, and I'm having one shipped to me at home.  Only trouble was finding it in the larger size; not one store carried it, just the smaller one. Ah well, the internet has them.

ThermiPAQ is great!

I told my chiropractor about ThermiPAQ.  My husband and I have bought every kind of heat pack and cold pack imaginable.  We now only use the ThermiPAQ because it does everything and does it better! The straps on the cover make it possible to wear the ThermiPAQ while moving around, and keeps it in place when shifting around if you're laying down.  We buy ThermiPAQs for friends, too!  "Best thing since sliced bread!"
