These wraps come three to a box and are air activated. When you open the package, the pad starts to heat up. They have little discs inside that work with your body heat and really get warm. They can take anywhere from 15 to 25 minutes to be fully heated but I find they are warm the minute I apply them. They are made for the neck/arm area and adhere with self adhesive that stays put for hours. The heat will last for about six hours on me, longer on other people. Because the pads are thin, no one knows I am wearing one unless my shirt is low cut in the back. I generally wear the pads at home and don't care who sees them. These really work. It is like having a cordless heating pad affixed to the painful area. They loosen my neck, relieve my pain, and stave off headaches I get when my neck is out of whack. They are a little bit pricey but well worth it in pain relief. When you are done, just remove them as you would a bandage and toss out. They are one use pads.
