One of the many more luxuries we have in life, a portable cordless heating pad. When Mother Nature and my dearest Auntie Flo come to visit, I make sure I have plenty of the ThermaCare heat wraps on hand. These unique little pads are air activated and can last for 8 hours or more. I have had them last for 10 hours, and then I just had to finally take it off. The comfort these pad provide cause you to forget you even have one on.

I purchased the ThermaCare Air-Activated Heat Wraps for menstrual cramp relief. And relief is what it brought. The ThermaCare wraps provides relief with its air activated heat discs. These little heat discs are made up of iron, charcoal, table salt and water. Gee, why couldn't I make this at home? Probably because it is easier just to run down to the grocery store and pay my $6.00. Each box contains three heat wraps. The ThermaCare wraps take about 30 minutes to totally heat up, but only when you remove the paper backing which covers a sticky like surface to provide secure stabilization of the wrap.

ThermaCare air activated heat wraps also come to for the lower back and upper body pains such as the neck and shoulder. Although I haven't used the other ThermaCare wraps, if they work as well as the wraps for menstrual relief then consider me sold. Since having children my menstrual pain has grown considerably worse with each child. With every cycle, I was condemned to my house for a good two or three days. Now with the ThermaCare heat wraps, I can go on about my normal business without having to deal with the pain.

Some important information to know about the ThermaCare Heat Wraps is that ThermaCare recommends that you do not leave them on any longer than 8 hours at a time and for no more than 4 days in a row for menstrual and no more than 7 days for the back and shoulder wraps. You may also experience some reddening from the heat discs possibly swelling or a rash. I have only experienced the reddening but I think that was mainly from the direct heat source. The reddening did go away after the wrap was removed and there was no longer heat applied.

In conclusion, I find this product to be the best yet for menstrual discomfort. I personally prefer to use the ThermaCare wraps in place of over the counter pain medications. For more information on ThermaCares amazing products check out www.thermacare.com
