The Goonies is one of my son's and my favorite movies. It starts out with kids worrying about their parents financial situation and how a big shot is going to force them out of their homes. One of the kids remembers a story that his father use to tell him about burried gold and they dream of how nice it would be to find it. They come upon a map and they believe it's the one that his dad use to talk about so they decide to follow it in hopes of finding the gold. Along the way, they run into robbers and they find themselves in danger from traps and they learn to work together and how to face their fears.

Thank you for your comment. Nope, you're not alone. My son and I watch it at least once a month and we never get tired of it. I wish they still made movies like that.
