I tried Sears' Zone after a friend recommended it. I was training for a powerlifting meet and a sprint triathlon, and was interested in finding out if changing my eating habits could improve my training. I ate more than the recommended number of blocks because I was doing a lot of training. I only lost a few pounds (I wasn't trying to), but my body composition changed to significantly leaner. I performed well in both events I was training for.
Although the blocks can be overwhelming at first, after a couple weeks I rarely had to look up how much of a given food I shoudl be eating. I thought that I would miss bread and pasta, but following this diet seemed to curb those cravings. It was a little tough to keep my sweet tooth under control, but overall this was an easy diet to follow and gave me good results.
