The Wiggles TV Show Review Summary

> The Wiggles Television Show is a variety show on the Disney Channel, filled with song and dance, rhymes and plays for your children to do with you or with the four colorful characters on the show. CrystaBush says, “The Wiggles are both entertaining and teaching the children during the show.” Parents and children can enjoy the catchy tunes and maybe this is one musical act that parents may not tire of. GMR’sMom says, “The Wiggles has got to be one of the only children's shows that I don't get tired of, even after watching it every day! The Wiggles
on
The Disney Channel

What is it?
The Wiggles are a group of 4 men from Australia named Anthony, Murray, Jeff and Sam who, along with their friends Dorothy the Dinosaur, Captain Feathersword, Wags the Dog and Henry the Octopus, sing and dance their way into our children's hearts every morning on The Disney Channel.  The Wiggles sing, dance, do short skits and even live concerts.   Each episode has a variety of different things going on:  Captain Feathesword may be off on a wild adventure at sea, Dorothy the Dinosaur may be in her rose garden eating her favorite flower and the Wiggles...

What is The Wiggles?? The Wiggles is a children's variety show on The Disney Channel. The show is led by four men by the name of Sam (who replaced Greg), Murray, Anthony and of course Jeff. They also have great characters by the names of Captain Feathersword, Dorothy the Dinosaur, Wags the Dog and Henry the Octopus. Almost every scene on this program has music and dancing incorporated in to it!

My opinion....When my daughter was 2 she became OBSESSED with the Wiggles. She could watch them all day long! Now she is 5 and although she doesn't watch them as much, my 1 year old son is now in love...

I spent the whole summer watching The Wiggles. I don't know what made my start putting it on for my son but I am so glad I did. Whenever he would eat his breakfast and lunch I would put on an episode for him to watch. He was absolutely mesmerized.

His favorite segment is the Wobbly Camel. He would dance to this song and it was hysterical. My in laws couldn't believe how much he enjoyed this show. Other segments he loves are Big Red Car, Rock a Bye Your Bear, and the Little Wiggles.

Last year at this time my son was in the hospital with RSV. I was panicked. Luckily the children's play center had...

The Wiggles is the only thing the my son will watch for more than a minute.  I think we own about a dozen Wiggles videos.  Every time it comes on he'll start dancing and laughing.  I can even put a tape on and he'll watch it long enough for me to get something done - like make dinner or take a shower!

Their songs and bits are short enough to not overtax a toddler's attention span.  The dances are simple enough for children to imitate without too much trouble.  And the backgrounds and scenery tends to be simple and brightly colored.

The songs are cute and catchy.  I even have a bunch on...

I love the Wiggles tv show.  I am not a mother, but I am a nanny and the children I have watched all love the Wiggles also.   The original case is of four Australian men who sign and dance.  Their songs are all very catchy and easy to learn.  So are a lot of the dances that go to the songs.  The help to teach children to eat right and mind their manners through songs and interactive sketches.  Also, the dances are so fun to do that children spend a good deal of time dancing and getting exercise.  It is very appropriate for children of all ages and you do not have to worry about your children... review »

In this era of high-tech expectations, it's wonderful to see that a show that uses silly skits and simple sets and costumes (each member wears distinctive, long-sleeved, primary-colored T-shirts and black pants) can still capture the attention of preschool-aged children. The other colorful characters -- including a polka-dotted green dinosaur named Dorothy who wears a bonnet and eats roses, a friendly pirate named Captain Feathersword, a purple Octopus named Henry, and a floppy-eared dog named Wags -- add even more humor to the show and have developed their own following.

As a parent of 2 boys i never thought my boys would be interested in the wiggles but i was wrong my older son now 5 has gone to 2 wiggles concerts. Along with tones of dvd and clothes to match. My younger now a year and 6 months is starting to get into the wiggles dancing and making sounds when he see's Wags the dog. On a personal note i was sad to see Greg the Yellow wiggle have to go do to health reasons but Sam the new yellow wiggle i think has done well as the new Yellow Wiggle

Grown men dancing around and singing songs that are stupid.  Come on now.  I don't let my kid's watch it and neither should you.  We need to teach or kid's the correct sex role that they are to perform.  The Wiggles Tv show gives me the creeps.
