Hardly a day goes by that I don't use www.weather.com   It's how I plan my life, my travels, and also how I keep up with what family and friends are going through.

I confess, even though there are lots of cool tricks on the site, I use all the most basic functions:  Weekend Forecast, 10-Day Outlook, and Hour by Hour..............for my own zip code, as well as any place I'm about to visit, and the cities where my family and friends live.   I do a quick check every time I visit my Google homepage.

Libby's Hot Tip:   A customized Google homepage allows me to choose Weather.com Current Temps for several cities and have them displayed each time I log on. 

Check on Family
I can see if my elderly mother-in-law is about to have icy conditions;  that way I can call and check to see if she's got everything she needs at home.   I also wouldn't consider packing for a trip without checking the 10-Day Outlook for that area.  (Will I need an umbrella, sweater, boots and coat or might I use a swimsuit?)  My husband and I both work for ourselves, so we use the 10-day outlook to plan our flexible workweek...might as well work indoors on a rainy day, eh?

Cool Options
Options on the site include Travel Smart, Stay Healthy and Around the Home sections, but I'll leave it to someone else to comment on those;  right now I have to go check the temperature in Santa Fe!
