the wave fitness system is advertised on tv on an infomercial and on the internet as well. they are part of the firm, a work out system known to many who try to get fit at home. the firm has a good name in the marketplace, so it was not hard to decide on taking a chance with the wave. the wave is actually a curved board apparatus that can be used on either its curved out or curved in side. it comes with a small mat which holds the wave board in one place on your floor. i use it on a carpeted surface and it does move around a bit, but mostly all as one--mat and board. when you are doing reverse push ups on it, it is hard to keep it from sliding away from your feet. anyway, i have enjoyed this wave system of home exercise. the little board is quite versatile and you use your own weights to make things more challenging. the system comes with 3 dvds--ride the wave (mostly instructions on how not to fall off of it), rock off, a 40 minute workout, express abs, a 10 minute work out and speed sliming sculpt a 30 minute workout. the instructors are friendly and energized without seeming like they are on speed. i would suggest trying the speed sliming sculpt at first, alternating with the express abs. when you build up your stamina, go for the 40 minute rock off. it really tests the legs with kick boxing moves and 'shredding' the wave moves. also, as you get more comfortable you can skip to different segments easily within each video. i like this system.
