When a young boy, named Angus, finds something unusual in the water, he takes it home with him. He cleans it up, and begins chipping away at the outside of it, only to discover that it appears to be glowing. Angus is intrigued and keeps it, and later finds it to be an egg that something has hatched out of.
Of course, it turns out to be an odd little creature that he can't quite place. Angus is a smart, yet sad little boy, that quickly finds pleasure in the creature. Angus' father is away at war and this little creature helps fill the lonely void. After much research, and with a little...
review »Most people are familiar with the Scottish legend of the Loch Ness Monster. The 2007 family drama The Waterhorse: Legend of the Deep, based on the novel by Dick King-Smith, is the magical tale of a creature similar to the Loch Ness Monster, that changes the life a young boy in Scotland during World War II.
The tale is told in flashback style, to a curious young couple, by an old man in a pub. The old man tells the story a lonely young boy named Angus, (Alex Estel) who lives in the small village of Loch Ness in Scotland. Angus' father is away at war, while his mother (Emily Watson) is head...

review »I TOOK MY 5 YEAR OLD SON TO SEE THIS MOVIE...IT WAS ON HIS LIST OF MOVIES TO SEE AND HAPPENED TO BE THE ONLY ONE AVAILABLE WHEN WE WERE AT THE MOVIE THEATER.
I MUST ADMIT THAT ONCE IT BEGAN, I WASN'T QUITE SURE WE WOULD MAKE IT THROUGH THE ENTIRE MOVIE...HOWEVER, AFTER THE FIRST 10 MINUTES EVEN I WAS HOOKED.
THE STORY IS WONDERFUL, MIXING IN A BIT OF WORLD WAR HISTORY WITH THE LEGENDARY LOCH NESS MONSTER...JUST ENOUGH TO KEEP WATCHERS OF ALL AGES ENTERTAINED AND ENGROSSED.
WHILE IT DOES GET A BIT INTENSE TOWARDS THE END, ITS NOT A SCARY MOVIE BY ANY MEANS.
WE'VE BEEN BACK 2 TIMES TO SEE IT WITH...
