Although I'm usually a budget conscious traveller, every once in a while I either find an incredible rate someplace or just decide to spend a little extra money to see how the other half lives. Of the two times I've stayed at the Venetian, thr first was because I found a great rate, and the second was because I missed the hotel and decided to spend a bit extra...
This place is absolutely fantastic, even by Vegas standards. Their rooms are all suites, huge, clean, and well decorated, and they've thought of all the little things that make frequent travelers enjoy staying there. The all-marble (faux marble, I would assume, although I don't know that) bathrooms are a fantastic touch, and the rooms themselves are incredible with plenty of room and a fully set off living area, separate from the bed area. Usually I don't spend much time in my room while in Vegas so I go cheap on the hotel, but to have something this nice to come back to is well worth the money to me.
The service is fantastic here as well. There are places in Las Vegas that have great service, but come off as a bit pretentious (Bellagio, Wynn). The Venetian is not at all that way--not only is the service good, but it's a down-to-earth hotel with a great staff that treats everybody alike. I've never encountered any problems while staying there, so it's difficult to say what they would be like if I had one. That being said, if I'm going to have a problem at a hotel, I think I'd like it to be at this one--that's how much confidence I have in their service.
