This TV comedy drama shows cops in a very different light. Amber Tamblyn is wonderful and it is good to see her on screen again after Joan of Arc, and General Hospital. She plays and innocent rookie and is learning from the Jeremy Renner the required thinking for detective work. She is learning that you have to trust your partner. The story lines are varied and human feelings of cops and criminals are explorred. It is light and entertaining a move from the dark side if police dramas.
I was one of the many people who saw some many previews for ABC's The Unusuals that I had to tune it. After two episodes I don't know why but I like it. I can't figure whether is it a drama trying to be funny or comedy trying to be serious but I like it. How Amber Tamblyn of Traveling Pants fame was going to work as a cop was questionable to me, but it works. She plays a cop who is out of her element and she is convincing. From the partners for life Banks & Delahoy to the third person bad toupee Eddie Alvarez to the department hottie Detective Beaumont it works for me. The show has lots of story...
