Most HelpfulI was very fortunate to have seen this movie in a private screening last year. The Ultimate Gift is a movie version of the book by the same name written by Jim Stovall. The book has sold over 3 million copies.
This movie was released nationwide a few weeks ago for a limited run. I plan to purchase the...

Most HelpfulNetfilx recommended The Ultimate Gift, so I gave it a try. It turned out to be neither great nor terrible, just a string of missed chances holding together a predictable story.
Self-made billionaire Red Stevens (James Garner) dies at the beginning of The Ultimate Gift and all the relatives line up for...
review »After a long weekend, I ended my Sunday night in one of the best ways....I rented The Ultimate Gift and watched it with my daughter. I wasn't sure what to expect. I honestly have not heard a lot about this movie. This is a movie that we will remember for a long time!
The Ultimate Gift is a best-selling story that keeps giving.
After his extremely wealthy grandfather dies, trust fund "brat" Jason Stevens expects a big inheritance (along with everyone else in his family). Instead, his grandfather gives him a much needed crash course on life and twelve tasks, actually "gifts" - that challege...
review »I had seen this movie at the movie store and it piqued my interest. I knew from how many were available to rent that it was an obscure movie, but they were all rented the first time I noticed it?! It wasn't until my 20 year old son mentioned it and gave it a good review "You'll like this one, Mom!", that I decided to make the effort to rent and watch it.
Now, you have to understand that this is not a movie that a normal 20 year old boy would watch ... or admit to watching. However; my son and I share a love for motivational and inspiring movies and books that have a message. Something that you...
review »A CHRISTMAS STORY:
Any nine-year-old kid in the '40s would passionately want, for Christmas, a Daisy Brand Red Ryder repeating BB carbine with a compass mounted in the stock. Of course. And of course, his mother would say, "You'll shoot your eye out." That's what mothers always said about BB guns. I grew up in downstate Illinois. The hero of this film, Ralphie, grew up in Gary, Ind. Looking back over a distance of more than thirty years, the two places seem almost identical -- Middle American outposts where you weren't trying to keep up with the neighbors, you were trying to keep up with Norman...
review »I was thrilled to watch this with My twin Boys we did not have to cover there eyes or ears at all and the story was a story we all need to learn
It was filled with a heart inspiring, fast moving life changing message.
This was no slow movie and My 12 year twin Boys loved it It really is the story about manhood, and what is important about life... I would recommend any one to watch this move but ladies bring the tissues because it really is a wonderful film.
The film maker did a great Job and I as a parent appreciate the Family values they put into it.
Its a great movie
Perfect for the whole family, I saw it in the movies but I had to see it again, I rented it the DAY it came out
"The Ultimate Gift"is a movie screen play written by Cheryl McKay, based on the best-selling book with the same name, written by Jim Stovall. This 2006 Crystal Heart Award winner is about Jason Stevens (Drew Fuller), a spoiled- rotten, super-rich, young man who is taken on a journey to discover the true meaning of life, after the death of his grandfather, Red Stevens (James Garner). In order to receive his inheritance, Jason must complete a series of tasks (gifts), each gift bringing him one step closer to true happiness or the "Ultimate Gift". Among those gifts are respect for money, the...
review »This was a great movie! it had everything from the love story, to the O NO WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN, to the cry your eyes out ending. and it left me wanting to be a better person. the great thing about this movie was that you didnt really know what was going to happen next. yes you always know somehow the story is going to have a happy ending but this movie had so many turns i was on the edge of my seat. yes the acting could have been better but i think that is kinda what added to the movie. it made the thing more real.
