The Ultimate Gift DVD Review

"The Ultimate Gift"is a movie screen play written by Cheryl McKay, based on the best-selling book with the same name, written by Jim Stovall.  This 2006 Crystal Heart Award winner is about Jason Stevens (Drew Fuller), a spoiled- rotten, super-rich, young man who is taken on a journey to discover the true meaning of life, after the death of his grandfather, Red Stevens (James Garner).  In order to receive his inheritance, Jason must complete a series of tasks (gifts), each gift bringing him one step closer to true happiness or the "Ultimate Gift".  Among those gifts are respect for money, the satisfaction and accomplishment of hard-work, comfort, joy, wisdom, forgiveness, true friendship, and unconditional love.  Along the way, a leukemia-stricken, 10-year old little girl (Abigail Breslin) aids his dead grandfather in teaching him some of life's lessons.
