I was never a real "reader" until I was introduced to the Harry Potter series about 5 years ago.  After I got hooked on Harry Potter I have done just about everything I can to read and read.  So I have JK Rowling to thank for that because reading is awesome.  I had heard about the Twilight series...

Where to start with all that is wrong in Twilight?

Probably the biggest two problems: Edward Cullen is an abusive sexist pig, and Bella Swann is a shallow unreliable narrator. Perhaps it is best to start with Bella.

From the time we are introduced to her, we are told that Bella is not beautiful, she does...

WOW,,,,,What a beautiful love story that takes place in this series of books. I picked up the Twilight book on a Saturday evening and on that following Sunday I read the last page of Breaking Dawn. It took me 8 days to read all four books in the series. Getting to know the two main characters in the first book and then seeing the movie Twilight is what hooked me. The descriptions are so realistic almost like you are inside of the story. Edward and Bella overcame fear of what others thought and saw them as. Edward being a vampire falling for his beloved Bella that he has seen for so many years in... read full review »

I am not that much right now into reading.  I am tried when I come home from work.  But my sisters bugged and bugged me to read the Twilight books.  So I went to Wal-Mart and bought the firsrt book. I headed to my family reunion and started to read the book.  At first Twilight started out a little slow.  I am not that used to reading about alot of romance and as my brother-in-law put it all this junior hight lovey dovey crap.

But after I got through the first couple of chapters I really got into the book.  Man it's amazing and no I haven't seen the movie yet even though I do have it on...

I actually just finished the Twilight Saga Book Collection and would have to say that I LOVED IT!  As any reader might say, the book is better than the movie, and the same applies here too. I know, I know the movie was amazing but the book really is so much better, there is more to the story and the way Stephanie writes every emotion Bella is experiencing just puts you right in there with her.  You actually start to feel as if it is you are the one having those emotions and are right in the book with the wonderful collection of characters.  And that is not just with the Twilight book but with...

The Twilight Saga Collection is by far the best book series that I have read. I am not big into reading but this series had definately kept me interested. I found that I spent all my free time reading just to find out what would happen next.

Twlight (the 1st book) was by far my favorite. It introduces all the characters and begins the story of Edward and Bella. You can really tell through the authors descriptions what makes their love so intense.

New Moon (the 2nd book) tells of Bella and Edward parting and the new relationship that sparks between Bella and Jacob.

Eclipse (the 3rd book) tells more...

The twilight series is awesome.  I agree that it is definitely not only for young teens.  I am in my early 30's and all of my friends are reading the series also.  My mom saw how I couldn't put the books down and now she is reading them.  The books have something for everyone.  I think for my generation it makes us romanticize about our own relationships and what we would like them to be like.  For the young readers it is an insight to first love and all the feeling both physical and emotional that come along with finding your first love.  There are definetly many issues in these books that... read full review »

At first I thought a book about vampires no thank you. My friends at work convinced me to start reading the Twilight series and that was the end of it. It took me 3 weeks to read all 4 books. After each book finished I could not wait to start the next one. You really felt like you were Bella going on this journey and falling in love with Bella. At times you were jelous of Bella for not being able to really be her. All of these books are packed full of suspense, adventure, love and emotion. As you read you really can feel the emotions that the characters are feeling wether it is fear, sadness,... read full review »

I absolutely love this series.  I read them all several times and would be more than happy to read them again.  I love the fact that they are not set for a certain age limit and than people of any age can read them and enjoy them.  I did feel that there were some scenes that I would have been a little nervous to have my teenager reading but for the most part it can be for all ages.  She goes into great detail and makes you feel like you are in the story with them and I love that.

I have never been one to get into vampire books and actually just picked this one up because none...

This is a fascinating series that I laughed about in the beginning. I thought all these people (teens and their moms) were going nuts about this series, going on and on. I am an avid reader, my whole family is. So about a year after the second one came out I decided to read twilight. Well the rest is history, I was hooked! I read it before my 17 year old daughter who said she really wasnt interested in it ( primarily because everyone else was). So when I finished twilight and told her how much I adored it, and how quite frankly I too wanted someone just like Edward, like every other woman who reads...

I hadn't heard of Twilight until the last book was available, and since I have always been into Vampire-type things such as movies, books, and what-not I decided to read the first book.  I read the first chapter and I was hooked! The intriging way the writer was able to capture and describe things to the reader was amazing. I am one of those people who when I read I visualize an image like a mini movie for just me and the way she wrote this book was so fantastic. I ended up reading the whole series in a matter of 4 days. I couldn't put them down. The intensity drew me in and didn't let me go....

My step daughter read the Twilight series and knows how much I LOVE to read. She brought me the first two books in the series and I agreed to read them.   After she had given them to me and told me they were about vampires, I let them sit on the shelf for a few weeks, not really wanting to read them, but not knowing how to tell her I didn't want to.  I had finished a book, with nothing new to start, so I picked up Twilight and was engrossed from page 1!  I couldn't put it down.  I finished it the next day and had New Moon done by the following weekend! (I have a full time job and family too).... read full review »

The "Twilight" series--the books that got my eyes back into "adult" reading after a decade of reading only children's books! My first encounter with Twilight was when my ten year old son asked me to take him to the movie the weekend it opened in theaters. I'd never heard of it, nor was I going to take him to a vampire movie without seeing it first. I didn't think much more about it until it came out on DVD, and I picked it up from Netflix. WOW!! I developed an instant vampire crush on Edward! I let my son watch it the next day, then I went out and bought the book. The book was 100 times better...
