The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey is truly life changing. I am a busy mother of two that doesn't have a lot of time to dedicate to reading and I finished this book in 2 days. My husband, who hasn't read a book in over ten years finished the book in one week. We refer to the book weekly and have put the Total Money Makeover baby steps into play. Reading this book and applying the common sense principles that Dave Ramsey lays out is guaranteed to change your life. If you are sick of living paycheck to paycheck, getting bills in the mail, sending your entire paycheck to pay debt, and feel hopeless...

great book to help you get on track financially

This is a great book to help you get your finances in order. You'll learn how to manage your money and get out/stay out of debt. The book is based on the author's own experience--from being rich and financially irresponsible, to loosing almost everything and learning how to manage his money (and self-control). Dave Ramsey is a best selling author and has a show on finances. This is a great book for people of all ages. Give it to kids/teens, to help them learn to be financially smart from a young age.

I started listening to Dave Ramsey on the radio alittle over a year ago. we didnt have a hugh amount of debt, (about $5000 in credit card, and a car payment) but using Daves method, not a get er done quick scheme, we did it in 12 months!!!! now we pay cash/debit card for everything!!! thanks Dave!

Any book written by Dave Ramsey is top notch. If you want to find out how to get out of debt - read his books! Although I was on the right road to becoming debt free this book confirmed I was doing most everything I could to become debt free. It is reaffirming to know that there are others out there who are frugal and are more concerned about not going "commercial" and spending every dime they have to give themselves financial freedom. By living within your means and saving you can "live like noone else" down the road and not have to depend on anyone else to help you out. Dave also has a... review »

I first heard of Dave Ramsey when my husband and I moved to Knoxville, TN. My husband began listening to his radio show, and we later attended one of his live events back in 2005.

The Total Money Makeover is unlike any personal finance textbook I seen through school. It is very practical and provides clear step-by-step instructions of a tested and proven financial plan developed by Ramsey.
