Any book written by Dave Ramsey is top notch. If you want to find out how to get out of debt - read his books! Although I was on the right road to becoming debt free this book confirmed I was doing most everything I could to become debt free. It is reaffirming to know that there are others out there who are frugal and are more concerned about not going "commercial" and spending every dime they have to give themselves financial freedom. By living within your means and saving you can "live like noone else" down the road and not have to depend on anyone else to help you out. Dave also has a radio show in Seattle that comes on at 3pm on station 630 AM where he fields questions from callers and gives advise and helps people to get out of debt. He walks them step by step and for me it is just common sense but people can sure get themselves in a bind sometimes. It is nice to have a christian see it from God's perspective and still be practical.
