The Time Traveler's Wife is a book that has been recommended to me for my book club by 3 different people.  When it was finally picked for book club, I was elated.

I dove right in, as I always do.

Boy, was I confused!

The story is about a man who time travels.  He doesn't know when or where but when he gets there, he's naked.  He has to find clothing, food, etc. before he gets beat up, chased or arrested.

Boy meets girl and it follows through their relationship.  It's quite a beautiful love story.  Problem is..it doesn't happen in order.  It's hard to keep track of what is happening now or then or in the future.

The author does her best to keep you on track with the character but eventually he's confused too.

I think it might help to reread it and know what is happening from the beginning again.  :)

I have wanted to read this too simply... but I don't know if I'll have the patience constantly trying to figure out what time the character is in ;) thanks for your insight! i may skip this one!

It was a bit confusing at times. the dates and ages at the beginning of each section helps and sometimes I would have to refer back to those to see what stage of life they were in. Overall, I liked the story though. The last few chapters bothered me though...

This was recommended to me by a few people awhile back. I haven't gotten around to reading it yet, but thanks for the heads-up on the confusion factor! When I do read it now, I'll have an idea of what to expect!
