It's been almost three years since I read The Time Traveler's Wife, and the story has stayed with me all that time. Considering I've read nearly 400 books since reading it (and have a terrible memory), that's really saying something!
I don't know that I would have chosen this book on my own (I seldom read books that aren't in the mystery/suspense genre), but when it was chosen as the book of the month for an on-line book club, I was willing to give it a try, and I'm very glad that I did.
I'm not afraid to confess that I was confused at first, very confused (it's that blond thing again, I suppose). It took me longer than I'd care to admit to get into the habit of paying attention to the heading at the beginning of each chapter so that I'd know when the action was taking place, and how old the characters were at the time. Once I did that, I was hooked! It became one of those books that I didn't want to put down, but I kept forcing myself to, so that I could make it last for a while.
