The Tigers Have Spoken [Digipak] by Neko Case —
This is a live album, and Neko's famous voice is a (understandably) less full and polished then on the studio recordings. The songs and delivery are outstanding though, firmly rooted in country tradition, but reaching pretty far out. My early favorites were the opener "If you knew" and and old standard "This little light", but as the record has grown on me, the stranger, oddly shaped songs in the middle really stand out. Definitely worth the time.
