After seeing a terrible movie during my vacation, I had to come back home and see something else!!

I found a good thriller called The Strangers - at the recommendation of my mother.  Finally, a movie that she didn't fall asleep during!!!  Yay!!!

The Strangers is a home-invasion thriller!!! This film begins with a bloody preview of the ending before flashing back to the horrors that precede it. One of the most suspenseful films I've seen in a long time.  A young couple (played by Liv Tyler and Scott Speedman - both good on screen together) arrive at his family's country getaway after a friend's wedding. While at a very tense crossroad in their relationship, the couple is interrupted by an "innocent" knock at the door.  Soon after-wards the horrifying story quickly reveals an evil threesome. The intruders bang on the door and manifest as masked, blurred shapes behind the unwitting lovers. Even as the campaign of terror escalates, the movie remains believable, smartly maintaining its commitment to tingling creepiness over bludgeoning horror. 

I screamed several times!!! The Strangers is a truly scary flick!

It was definitely freaky, but I was disappointed to learn how loosely the "facts" were based on the directors youth and not on real events.
