My friends and I recently decided to have a Girl's Night Out and headed to the movies.  We decided upon the movie The Secret Life of Bees. 

I had read the book and highly suggested going to see the movie.  I loved the book and hoped that the movie would live up to the powerfulness of the book. 

The movie lived up to everything that the book was. 

I was drawn into the movie from the very beginning.  The poignant story was magically brought onto the screen by the wonderful actresses.

I would definitely recommend seeing this movie!!

I read the book first years before the movie myself. The book was a part of our city's 300th anniversary as a city wide reading program for adults. The movie, "The Secret Life of Bees" did not receive a good review in our local paper.  I always read the reviews so that I have a starting point on assessing the movie. I usually do not let their opinions determine whether I watch the movie or not.  I like this movie.  It was about women helping women.  It was about family and the realities of life.  There were some sad moments but they were portrayed in a manner that could be viewed by anyone.  Some pictures are too graphic and are hard to watch.  With this picture, you got the point without all the graphics.  The acting was good. ...

The secret life of bees is such a really really really really good movie. I have seen my share of movies. but this movies is good. I read the book and just had to see the movie , I wasn`t disappointed , the movie was great, both Husband and I really enjoyed it .   We are a fan of Queen Latifah , we have seen all her movies , a bonus in The Secret Life of Bees were the stars, Jennifer Hudson, Dakota Fanning and  Alicia Keys , all were excellant in the movie.     We have told our friends about this movie and they were skeptical but watched it and they were glad they did .  I plan on watching it again , I rent movies and sometimes buy them, this is definately one I want to add to my collection which I quite a few collected...

The Secret Life of Bees is a heart warming story. It is well written and wonderfully acted.  A young girl who comes from an unhealthy dysfunctional family home is taken under the wing of and into a home of three independent women beekeepers. The women turn out to be a positive influence on her and an inspiration. Surprisingly, the young girl turns out to be the same for the three women.

This movie is a touching story that I think has a good message. Especially for women and young girls, but also men. This is an enjoyable movie if you like drama and good acting. It maybe considered a "chick-flick"...

I first read the book, The Secret Life of Bees, and loved it so much, that I had to watch the movie. They did a great job! This is a feel good movie that I highly recommend!

The strength, determination, struggles, joys, laughter, sorrow, pain, that all these Women endured throughout the entire movies shows what being strong and having faith is all about. Eventhough they had their differences they still reached out to a young girl and her maid to help them, guide them, show them, love them into knowing how to survive in this world no matter what or who stands in your way.
