The Secret Diary of Anne Boleyn Review

Wow, this was one of the best reads! I love historical fiction that is not just accurate in its depiction of the past, but you really feel like you were placed in the era with all the sights, smells, and the way of life.

This book was very well-written and the history was excellently researched. I still don't feel sorry for Anne Boleyn, perhaps sorry that she lost her life the way she did, but not sorry for the choice she made. I did come to understand her more and wonder if the real Anne really went through all of those emotions. I also recommen "Mary, Bloody Mary" which is a similarly written book but from the point of view of young Princess Mary during the time her father left her mother for Anne.
