Most HelpfulRed Box is a unique service that lets you rent movies directly from a computerized kiosk. These kiosks are mostly found in Mc Donald's and grocery stores (more than 8,000 locations now) all across the country, and the cost is just $1 for each movie.
Using your credit card and e-mail address to access...
review »I've always had an adversion to forking out big bucks to rent a video at Blockbuster or Hollywood. We don't watch enough movies to justify Netflix. So when I discovered RedBox--I instantly became a devoted customer!
For just one dollar, you can rent a video until 9 p.m. the next day. I love this, because we can get three movies for three dollars and even if it takes us two days, that's six dollars for three movies, still cheaper than the big stores.
The drawback is that the popular movies are often out unless you go at odd times. There's a limited selection of movies, but for us, that's...
review »Red-box is a vending machine for movies. No membership is required and the movie only costs one dollar a day! (plus .7 cent tax) These "movie vending machines" can be found in most Wal-Marts and some grocery stores. They are very easy to use. The vending machine has a touchscreen where you can select your movies, then slide your credit card and wait on your movie to come out. As long as you get the movie back before 9 p.m the next day your credit card is charged only 1.07!
You can return the movies to any location. They have new releases but as a caveat, I have had trouble with...
review »Red Box is very cool. The one here is located inside a Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market grocery store, so it's like having a little video store that's open 24 hours a day seven days a week. Very convenient. And affordable, all of the DVDs rent for $1 per day. Each day you keep it extra is another $1 charge on your credit card up until you've kept it out for 25 days, then it stops charging your card and the DVD is yours to keep. I love that feature. I'm very busy, so getting videos back to the store often gets shifted to the bottom of the priority list, and regardless of what the original...
review »WOW! My husband & I are just ecstatic over this new DVD rental option that Giant Eagle, our grocer just started having them put in locations all over Cleveland. They ran a full page ad in the Sunday newspaper with a FREE DVD code to enter to get our first rental for free. Unfortunately the store we go to still has the IGGLE VIDEO which closes in March & Red box shows up. But another store a mile away has it. At the bottom of the ad was a web site that I went to & you can rent on line & pick it up at the store you tell them. SO we got 3 movies as a first timer. Very easy! Just hit ...
review »I do not use the Oakbrook Terrace Redbox. I use a local Redbox. But I must admit I love it. I have raved about it and recommended it to many family and friends. I love the cost - a dollar a day - you can't beat that! I sometimes forget to take movies back before they are due, don't have time to return them, or didn't have the time I thought to watch them. I enjoy the convience of being able to keep them another day without a huge fine. The return time is great as well. Another similar company wants the movies back by 7. If you get off work, commute for 30 min, get stuck in traffic...
review »I love redbox. There are a variety of movies. And for the price of $1, who can beat that? I have watch MANY movies from redbox and have not had any problems yet. They are convenient, and are located at many different places. I am fortunate to have a few within my area.
I can just pop online and find out which one has the movie I want or am looking for, and I can reserve it. I don't think movie stores will reserve movies for you or show you online what their selection is and what is in stock for each specific location.
There was one occasion when I had a defective dvd and I e-mailed them. ...
review »These Red Boxesa are now popping up out side places all over the suburbs. I saw one out side of jewel, dominicks, walgreens, CVS and even the panera bread which is funny cause it is flush with the block buster video. Anyway you can rent these for free. All you have to do is search the blogs such as money saving mom, deal seeking mom, cherry picker blog, common sence with money, mommy snacks or even Mummy deals which is chicago based. You get codes on mondays and tuesday take the code to the red box plug it in and still use your debit card but as long as you return it you get the movie rental for...
review »I love the convenience of this, plus the price doesn't hurt either. It is nice to be able to go on-line, pick the movie I want, and reserve it for $1.07. I usually only keep the movie one night, so for me, it's cheap...cheap. They have the latest releases, plus some older ones too. Definitely something to check into if you haven't already.
I love that the Red box you can return anywhere. This is great for someone like me who always returns late. I also love that it is only a buck a night. The kiosk is easy to use, I can send the kids.
