The Pursuit of Happyness Review

The Pursuit of Happyness (Full Screen Edition, Rated: PG-13, Approx 117 miles) stars Will Smith (as Chris Gardner) and his real son, Jaden Smith (as Christopher). The story is inspired by the life story of Chris Gardner, a salesman turned business stock broker. This is a story of a stuggling single father to live life and build a future for himself and his 5-year old son. Will Smith gives an impressive and heart-felt performance throughout their struggle of day-to-day living and making ends meet when he decides to take an unpaid internship to become a stock broker. The movie is inspiring as Chris overcomes his obstacles of eviction and homelessness and conquers his pursuit of "happyness". The movie portrays a stong love between the father and son as he teaches him self-confidence as he himself is scared at the obstacles they face on a daily basis.

The DVD has several special features including a conversation with Will Smith on being a father on and off screen and a unique interview with the real Chris Gardner.
