One of my favorite books

This is a book that I read because it was assigned in a college literature class.  I read it years before the movie came out.  I didn't expect to like it, but I fell in love.  The original book is  not labeled as written by William Goldman and I thought the whole idea of the secret author situation was cool.  I love the book because it was full of surprise and held my interest throughout. I love the whole happy ending good guys wins fairytale and I thought the book seemed to have something for everyone.  The whole concept is unique and I believe that makes it very special.
