    inticate plotlines, Complex, Well-Drawn Characters, Superbly Written, Intricate, Sweeping Plot, Follows The History Of The Time, terrific characters

The Pillars of the Earth — 

Pillars of the Earth is a great read.  I had a hard time putting this book down.  The characters are captivating, and the author amazed me at how he was able to make them so relatable, due to the expanse of generations and centuries.
